In addition to serving as a skilled journeyman member of a crew, a Line Worker III is responsible for handling service calls. When a Line Worker III is assigned to such calls, he works without immediate supervision and is responsible for overseeing the activities of a Line Worker I and/or an Apprentice Line Worker assigned to him. Positions of this class are of a slightly more responsible and difficult level because, when assigned to servicing tasks, a Line Worker III works independently and serves as a lead man or supervisor of an assistant. Positions in both classes require skill in working above the ground and thorough knowledge and appreciation of the techniques and safety precautions of line work.
* Installs and repairs street fixtures, conductors and hardware; makes energized connections from aerial bucket; repairs energized conductors with hot stick.
* Installs services pole to building; renews and maintains existing services; installs primary metering.
* Checks transformer loads by installing maxim meters and recording voltmeters; keeps records of maxim meters and recording voltmeters installed or removed.
* Keeps time and material records and daily work reports.
* Provide oversight for assigned Apprentice Line Worker.
* Communicates with the public; explains power outages and other electrical problems; responds to complaints of power problems.
* In addition, performs the same duties as a Line Worker II when assigned to the line crew.
* Ability to complete a pole top rescue.
* Performs related work as required.

Line Agents are responsible for taking incoming crisis calls, completing an initial clinical assessment, and determining the next level of service. The Line Agent is responsible for dispatching referrals in a timely manner, making subsequent follow-up calls as needed, and ensuring the quality and integrity of data entry.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Administration: Have the ability to multitask duties and systems, which include but are not limited to: answering crisis calls, completing initial clinical assessments, identifying outcomes and follow-up services, utilizing spreadsheets, and navigating computer-based data entry programs.
Communication: Effective and consistent written and verbal communication is required both internally and externally.
