Painters may be assigned to any of the following job functions: WHAT YOU'LL DO: Complete Painting Qualification & Coating Inspection Qualification training. Verify purchased or supplied coatings are to customer requirements. Maintain inventory of paints and coating. Maintain storage of paint waste material. Maintain coating application equipment. Maintain coating inspection equipment. Conduct required inspections: Ambient Condition, Surface Preparation, and Coating Application. Apply paints and coating as required. Cleanup work area often and after every shift. Conduct work assigned in a safe and efficient manner. Produce quality product as required by customer specifications and regulation requirements. Inspect quality of product as processed through assigned operation. Record all required documentation thoroughly and accurately. Other General Duties as Assigned. Role Summary: Responsible for measuring, threading adjusting flange fit, and facing the flange on piece of pipe. Work also includes operation of the machine and a crane to move pipe in and out of machine. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Identify fabrication requirements written on each piece of pipe (5%) * Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work. After the pipe is in place, the operator will machine tapered threads into the pipe. During this process, the machine operator is responsible for verifying measurements, such as thread depth and correct taper (30%) * After the threads are cut the operator tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly. Adjustments are made to the threads if an issue occurs (10%) * Applies glue on pipe and flange and uses the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe (20%) * Runs the cutting tool across the surface of the face of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe (30%) * Remove pipe from machine and place on boards (5%) * Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Good with math, able to read a tape measure and micrometer * Ability to understand machinery processes * Consistent attendance, ability to get to work on time, every day * Team player, willingness to work when needed, help out and volunteer for extras * Positive, enthusiastic and helpful Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent desired * Previous experience with machinery is desired * Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: * Since this is a heavy industrial environment there will be exposure to Fabrication Shop operations. The employee will be exposed from time to time to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes * Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. * The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, Driving and Sitting. * When in the Shop Production Area the employee will be required to wear PPE including (steel toed shoes if conducting any work related activity), safety glasses and hearing protection where required.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Perform and document required scheduled inspections. Equipment repairs including mechanical, structural, hydraulic and pneumatic. Equipment installation, removal and relocation. Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, multimeters and other testing equipment. Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus or components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Work from ladders, manlifts, scissor lifts, scaffolds or roofs to install, maintain or repair equipment or fixtures. Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. CNC Operator reports primarily to the Machine Shop Supervisor, and indirectly to the Production Supervisor. Machinist may be assigned to any of the following job functions: Produces machined parts by programming, setting up and operating a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. CNC OPERATOR I: Essential Functions 0-1 Years of CNC experience. Operate saws, lathes, mills, basic grinding, lapping, cleaning, deburring or other simple, routine operations. Follow written and verbal procedures as assigned. Read and interpret work order routings, prints, sketches and tool sheets as required. Must be able to recognize and understand machine functions as required. Knowledge of working with a variety of materials is required. Inspect work using micrometer, bore gage, Vernier, calipers or other measuring precision instruments. Set up and operate a variety of manual machines to perform simple to basic operations. Measure, examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometers. Set up, adjust and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products and determine product dimensions and tolerances. Select the appropriate tools, machines and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work. Lay out, measure and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts. Bolt, clamp and weld together metal components of products, such as piping systems, plate, pipe and tube or structural shapes. May clean or degrease weld joint or workplace, using wire brush or portable grinder. Remove excess weld, defective weld material, slag and spatter, using handheld grinder or gas torch, hand scrapper, grinder or power chipper. Preheat work piece using hand torch. Cut metal plates or structural shapes. Examine weld for bead size and other specifications. Load, transport and unload material, tools, equipment and supplies utilizing overhead cranes and forklift. Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment. Blasters are responsible to accomplish assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Reports primarily to the Plant Manager, and indirectly to the Production Supervisor. Blasting employees may be assigned to any of the following job functions: WHAT YOU'LL DO: Material Handling: Rigging, loading, unloading, stabilizing and transporting material. Surface Preparation: Using steel grit to clean the pipe for QC checks, create a blast profile that is acceptable for surface coating (adhering to SSPC or NACE specifications). Conduct daily equipment checks (blotter tests, oil checks). Blast booth general maintenance (lighting, grit cleanouts, floor cleanup). Conduct work assigned in a safe and efficient manner. Produce quality product as required by customer specifications and regulation requirements. Inspect quality of product as processed through assigned operation. Maintain work area housekeeping. Record all required documentation thoroughly and accurately. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred Experience: None specifically required - Trained on Site! Job Description BendTec, LLC has an exciting opportunity available for a Machinist to be an integral part of our team. Machinist reports primarily to the Machine Shop Supervisor, and indirectly to the Production Supervisor. Machinist may be assigned to any of the following job functions: WHAT YOU'LL DO: Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines. Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production. Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping. Selects appropriate machine and setting for a given task. Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment. Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary. Maintains inventory of completed products. Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects. Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs. Maintains a safe and clean workstation. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred Experience: Drill press, lathe, mill, band saw: Preferred; additional onsite training! Painters may be assigned to any of the following job functions: WHAT YOU'LL DO: Complete Painting Qualification & Coating Inspection Qualification training. Verify purchased or supplied coatings are to customer requirements. Maintain inventory of paints and coating. Maintain storage of paint waste material. Maintain coating application equipment. Maintain coating inspection equipment. Conduct required inspections: Ambient Condition, Surface Preparation, and Coating Application. Apply paints and coating as required. Cleanup work area often and after every shift. Conduct work assigned in a safe and efficient manner. Produce quality product as required by customer specifications and regulation requirements. Inspect quality of product as processed through assigned operation. Record all required documentation thoroughly and accurately. Other General Duties as Assigned. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts. Remove rough spots from work pieces using portable grinders, hand files or scrapers. Feather or remove tacks using electric or pneumatic grinders prior to welding beading pass. Chip or grind off excess weld, slag or spatter using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders or arc-cutting equipment. Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, submerged arc welding and shielded metal arc. All welding on non-critical piping assemblies, structural and architectural assemblies, and any other non-high pressured piping assemblies. Non-production welding such as the attachment of holding legs and hydro test caps. Cleanup work area often and after every shift. Produce quality product as required by customer specifications and regulation requirements. Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies and regulations.
