About the Team:
This role supports the Employee Insights team in the Office of Social Impact and Engagement by providing timely accurate, and proactive administrative and program support services for all programs, events and initiatives. This role will be reporting to the Program Director.
Responsibilities:
* Support the planning, management and execution engagement events
* Research venues and vendors for catering, entertainment and "swag", and make recommendations for potential engagement
* Create and manage calendar invites and reminders
* Manage invitation list and sign ups
* Manage employee volunteer sign ups
* Coordinate swag, prizes, gifts etc for all parties events
* Assist in coordinating location setup and safety walkthrough, sound checks and run of show (in person and/or virtual)
* Draft recap story and photos in all Comms: slack, Buzz, social media
* Track and Measure engagement and Impact of events via surveys, focus groups and trend analysis
* Compile and organize data in response to industry best company surveys
* Coordinate Track expenses charged to the Social Impact and Engagement budget, and provide monthly budget reports to the Social Impact and Engagement Team. [Track Budgets, Financial Invoice Processing via P Card/PO/Vendor]
* Coordinate the scheduling of meetings, and relevant inclusion and events or programming
* Support team in developing presentations, reports and other materials
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree or minimum 2-4 years of experience
* Experience providing project support on multiple projects/initiatives
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines and deliver high quality work, make rational decisions, and function as part of a team
* Demonstrated ability to show initiative and excel in an independent, self-directed manner
* Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and sense of urgency
* Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and team-building skills
* Able to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with others.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, and use good judgment
* Interest in social impact and/or employee engagement is a plus
The salary range posted below refers only to positions that will be physically based in New York City. As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location. Pay ranges for candidates in locations other than New York City, may differ based on the local market data in that region. The base salary pay range for this position located in New York is $55,000-$74,000. The base salary pay range for this position nationally/remote is $49,500-$66,000.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata's non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. We are working with a prominent, regional firm seeking an Employee Benefits Attorney with at least seven years of experience to join their Uniondale, NY office.
The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of experience handling matters for plan sponsors, plan administrators, and/or plan fiduciaries relating to qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and other employee benefit plans and arrangements. This role offers the opportunity for direct client engagement, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and representation before federal agencies such as the Department of Labor (DOL), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC).
The candidate will advise business clients on complex compliance, regulatory and transactional matters, including the design, implementation, and ongoing compliance of qualified retirement plans and health and welfare benefit programs; provide strategic counsel on ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, COBRA, and related federal and state regulations to the extent the foregoing are relevant to employee benefit plans and arrangements; represent clients before the DOL, IRS, and PBGC in audits, investigations, compliance and plan terminations; draft and review plan documents, amendments, summary plan descriptions (SPDs), summaries of material modifications (SMMs), and other compliance-related communications; support business transactions with due diligence and integration of employee benefit plans; monitor legislative and regulatory developments and proactively advise clients on risk mitigation and compliance strategies; and collaborate with attorneys in corporate, tax, and labor & employment practice groups to deliver integrated client service.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience with DOL, IRS, and PBGC interactions, including administrative proceedings; strong technical knowledge of retirement and health plan compliance; excellent legal research, writing, and client communication skills; the ability to manage multiple client matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment; familiarity with executive compensation and nonqualified plans; and experience advising for-profit, non-for-profit, and governmental employees. Experience in a law firm environment is preferred. New York Bar admission is required.
