Compensation and Benefits

The ProSidian Team works to provide expert level Information Technology (IT) Quality Assurance (QA) consulting services supporting a full cross-agency “business transformation” initiatives intended to achieve the mission of keeping citizens in the state safe and working. The business transformation (BT) calls for modernizing the agency's extensive technology infrastructure and corresponding business processes over several years. The client is starting with people and processes - ensuring the best way to do business and collectively understand business priorities and customers' expectations. Then, they will invest in new technology to support those process improvements and achieve stated goals and objectives.
Navigating the agency's technology maze is challenging for its employees. It complicates the training process and makes it difficult for them to deliver high-quality, effective service to their customers. Many applications are independent and don't communicate information between each other. Over the next several years, L&I will modernize technology across the Dept., which will take place in phases. Independent Verification And Validation (IV&V) Consultant Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and Independent Verification And Validation (IV&V) Consultant will lead/oversee the Verification and Validation activities in alignment with the Client Organizations requirements, policies, guidelines including but not limited to the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Policy 132.
As such, it is expected that the IV&V Consultant be knowledgeable and practiced in all aspects of Information Technology system life cycle project management processes as defined in the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK). Duties would include reviewing, monitoring, and observing product development/implementation/customizations (such as a software), project activities Statement Of Work completion, or service-level agreement (SLA). Additionally, they would be responsible for supporting the written assessment reports developed by the team and overseeing the recommendations developed to ensure they provide early warning to our clients of potential risks; including, actionable input and recommendations that can be tracked to completion.
For each IV&V Consultant Services Engagement, The ProSidian Team will perform the following primary duties:
Attend required meetings with the project steering committee(s), agency leadership, project teams (and, if applicable, project staff), and other stakeholders as required.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with project staff and customers to solve complex issues.
Develop and deliver anomaly reports reviewing specific processes, work products, deliverables, or other project attributes offering an assessment of their soundness, appropriateness, and ability to contribute to project success.
Develop and deliver comprehensive periodic assessment reports containing results of oversight tasks and recommendations for improvement.
Duties include assessing the quality and compliance with industry accepted practices of the project's processes, work products, and deliverables.
Further responsibilities include tracking the response to recommendations made in the reports to ensure the system integrator and/or the client are addressing the risks in order to ensure successful outcomes.
Help document accomplishments and key Deliverables and meet regularly with project teams, as needed, upon intervals based upon current project activities.

Support the client management and stakeholders to plan for and address risks and issues as they occur, in an effort to ensure that the project remains on schedule and within budget.
The IV&V Consultant interacts with multiple technical and business stakeholders and supports the client in assuring the successful outcome of the systems development / implementation life cycle.
Qualifications
The Independent Verification And Validation (IV&V) Consultant shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position.
