ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES


Place outbound calls to individuals from supplied call lists (outbound), receive incoming calls from individuals interested in purchasing voluntary benefits. Consult callers on voluntary benefit products available to them and cross sell other products available as members of Truckers Service Association, where applicable Answer phones in a professional and timely manner to ensure customers are serviced appropriately Maintain a positive attitude, even when dealing with difficult customers. Maintain quality customer service with clients daily by providing consistent, timely and accurate service. Process applications over the phone, record calls, and enter applicant information into participation management systems Maintain and follow written procedures; complete all procedures as outlined on the "TrueChoices Processes- Index Assist in the execution of marketing material to available applicants Complete any special projects assigned by the expected deadline Increase industry and job knowledge as measured by attendance at continuing education, attaining or updating designations, and participation in other agency training offerings Other duties as assigned, appropriate to the position.



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS



High School diploma or equivalent required College degree or equivalent combination of training and work experience preferred Life & Health insurance licensing required within 90 days of employment Experience in Microsoft Office is preferred. DIRECTV is seeking a Lead Benefits Consultant. The primary responsibility of this role is the overall project management of an assigned benefit specialty (Health & Welfare, Retirement plans, Wellness, Labor Support, or International), the day-to-day management of that specialty and any related benefits vendor(s), including working with Supply Chain to achieve contract agreement and signature, working across all internal teams needed to launch the program successfully, and for the assigned on-going vendor management: oversight of on-going contractual compliance and performance against contract PGs, review with vendor of annual design changes to insure proper inclusion, and Annual Enrollment system testing and communications review. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the ability to work well in a team environment across the various benefit disciplines, and be able to present to, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

**What you'll be doing** : In addition to the above, this role includes vendor contract renewal and PG negotiations, vendor assessment/evaluations, and ensuring the vendor remains compliant with all data security and government/legal updates.
**What you will need:**

The Opportunity

As a Benefits Consultant on the Retirement Plans Team in Human Resources at MassMutual, you will deliver customer-focused, technical and consultative support related to 401(k), pension plans, non-qualified benefits and financial well-being. You will also provide analytical and service support to ensure products are delivered to customers and participants in accordance with the company's fiduciary responsibility and service standards for each plan. As a vendor manager, you will be evaluating the services performed by our vendors to determine if and when changes are need to best meet customer and business needs.
