As senior counsel for Jefferson Health System, he was responsible for the oversight of reimbursement, payer relations, and malpractice coverage for the second largest health system in Pennsylvania. As department counsel for the Pennsylvania Insurance Department, he helped to establish managed care regulation mechanisms and health insurance regulations. Mr. Shamash has served on numerous banking, insurance, community, and health-related boards including the Pennsylvania Employee Benefits Trust Fund, Pennsylvania Health Insurance Exchange Authority, Pennsylvania Banking and Securities Commission, as an appointee of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf on the Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council, and Harrisburg’s Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and Dickinson Law School. A native of Central Pennsylvania, he resides in Cumberland County with his wife and two children.

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Pollock leads DentaQuest, the second largest dental benefits administrator in the United States, and the largest for Medicaid. DentaQuest is a purpose driven, double bottom line company whose mission is to improve the oral health of all. Through our dental benefits administration, care delivery, philanthropy, science and education we are transforming systems. Pollock has been with the organization since 1999, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer, with oversight for all business segments.
