What You'll Do

What You'll Do
The Director of Operations is responsible for managing, driving and overseeing all operational aspects of assigned properties. S/he is the mediator of information between the venues and our corporate team. Although research, data recovery and reports require office time, the majority of time is spent at the venues during service. Travel to assigned properties as needed (with prior approval from COO) as well as to other cities as support as deemed necessary by the COO.
Key Responsibilities
Attend all weekly manager meetings at each venue- ensure there is a creative aspect to the meetings
Engages as necessary with event promoters, third party food & beverage operators, product suppliers and equipment vendors that are considered large in scope and content or high profile
Analyzes sales and competition on a regular basis and develops strategies to increase market share
Develop new marketing ideas and concepts with marketing team
Monitors and develop incentive programs for employees to grow revenues in all venues
Network inhouse and around town to invite new guests into the venue
Work with Marketing team on special promotions / parties
Monitor and push sales team to be creative in their approach to obtaining new clients
Responsible for keeping the cost of goods sold (COGS), labor and other expenses within budgeted parameters
Review monthly P&L and GL with General Managers and create action plans for all variances
Monitor comps and voids
Track daily & weekly reports
Monitors Guest Check Average and work with General Managers on employee incentive programs
What We're Looking For
Proven multi-unit leadership experience in upscale or high-volume full-service dining, preferably within the steakhouse or fine dining segment
Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze P&L statements, manage budgets, and drive profitability
Track record of leading teams to achieve sales growth, operational excellence, and exceptional guest experiences
Deep understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house best practices
Ability to recruit, train, mentor, and retain high-performing General Managers and culinary leaders

What You'll Do
As a Dishwasher at Benihana, you will be a key part of our kitchen team, ensuring that our culinary operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your mission is to maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards while supporting the BOH team in delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and consistently
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in dishwashing areas, kitchen stations, and storage spaces
* Operate dishwashing machines and ensure they are stocked with proper chemicals
* Assist with removal of trash and recycling, ensuring proper waste disposal procedures are followed
* Keep kitchen floors, drains, and workstations clean and free of hazards
* Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are properly stored and ready for use
* Work collaboratively with the BOH team to keep service running smoothly
* Follow health department sanitation requirements and adhere to safety guidelines
* Assist with basic prep work and food handling as needed
* Execute tasks assigned by Chefs and Kitchen Leadership with professionalism and enthusiasm
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a kitchen support role preferred but not required
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization
* Willingness to support the BOH team and contribute to overall kitchen success
* Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 lbs.
* Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Position Summary:
Responsible for all grilled, broiled, fried, and sautéed items prepared in the kitchen. Preparation and portioning of food items prior to cooking, such as tempura items, sauces, and grilled items. Other duties include plating and garnishing cooked items. Responsible for maintaining a sanitary kitchen workstation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
In accordance with restaurant service and cooking procedures:
* Prepares or directs preparations of all recipes in compliance with portions sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures in the Benihana Kitchen Guide and the Employee Handbook.
* Prepares an extensive variety of cold and hot food items utilizing standardized recipes.
* Prepares specially requested items.
* Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food is preserved.
* Selects/utilizes knives, hand tools, utensils and equipment to portion, cut, slice, broil, roast, carve, skewer, garnish, maintain holding temperature, grill or otherwise produce food on the kitchen line.
* Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards, observe proper food preparation and handling techniques as outlined in the Benihana Kitchen Guide and Employee Handbook.
* Keeps Head Kitchen Chef informed of inventories.
* Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to the Manager.
* Reports any unsanitary equipment, storage/work areas and/or products to the Head Kitchen Chef.
* Communicates with Lead Line Cook to facilitate customer orders efficiently and within required ticket times.
* Follows all federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations outlined by the General Manager and the Employee Handbook.
* Keep work area neat, organized, and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
* Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
Job Requirements:
* Previous experience in food preparation required.
* Experience in the restaurant industry is a plus.
* Bilingual preferred.
* A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Must be 18 years of age.
