The participants in the program are 108 students in the 6th - 8th grades. The goal of our program is to provide the academic and social support needed to help students develop the skills required to successfully complete their secondary and collegiate education. We achieve these goals by providing a holistic program that includes homework assistance, Physical Fitness, STEM activities, Leadership Development Activities, Science Madness, Arts & Crafts, Dance, and Career Exploration. This program is funded by the Department of Youth and Community Development (SONYC) and is governed by a strong partnership with the host school. The hours of this position are Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There are weekly meetings and professional developments that may occur outside of these hours. Rate of Pay: $18 - $19 per hour depending on previous experience and related education. Major Duties and Responsibilities include: - Provide leadership on a day-to-day basis for a class of 10- 15 middle school students.
