    Job Description Warehouse Attendant/Back-up Driver. JOB SUMMARY: The warehouse associate receives shipments and restocks orders, keeps track of inventory, prepares, and loads order for customers, and maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space. Support drivers making timely delivery of good to customers on specific route, review orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading truck and providing exceptional customer service our client base as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Pull and prepare orders for shipment, delivering the proper paperwork, packaging, and quantity for each order to the required destination in shipping and receiving. Perform data entry, merchandise scan-ins, and other required quality assurance steps that confirm the contents of each order while tracking inventory for the company. Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming material, either independently or as part of a team depending on order size and daily staffing needs. Assist with counter sales and delivery as appropriate and as needed. Ensure the warehouse area is cleaned, organized, and that all safety procedures are being always followed by yourself and your teammates. Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, floor lifts, and basic tools. Report any malfunctions, insufficiencies, or necessary repairs through the relevant channels. Provide dependable, shift-long coverage of the warehouse facilities to ensure order fulfillment operates as efficiently as possible for the duration of the warehouse associate's shift. Knowledge of HVAC, preferred, but not mandatory Assists sales and marketing is addressing customer complaints with regards to shipment and deliveries. Ability to interact effectively with warehouse and accounting personnel as required. Clear driving record and DOT Medical Certification. Assist Warehouse Associate(s) in the operation of the distribution center Load and unload trucks and/or trailers to maximize space and ensure safety without damage to products. Pull orders, stocking, data entry, verifying products being shipped against shipping orders. Conduct inspections of vehicle before and after delivering goods. Keeps equipment clean and assures regular maintenance and inspections are performed in a timely manner. Complies with DOT, State and Local Laws, as well as Company Policies Accurately completes and maintains all records as required by the DOT and Company Policy Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrates strong customer service skills for handling customers and customer complaints Computer proficiency sufficient to record receipt and stocking of merchandise and removal of inventory to fill requisitions and orders. Works well in a team environment Some prior warehouse and logistics experience Materials handling certifications relevant to the products in stock Experience with warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and computer-based inventory systems Education and Experience High School Diploma or higher Forklift certified with safe operation record or willingness and capability to obtain certification Familiarity with Inventory Management systems or other inventory managements systems Familiarity with HVAC Systems Valid driver's license with clean driving record
