This management role reports to and collaborates closely with the Head of SoftwareEngineering to empower Bentley's platform software development teams to do their best work and continuously ship meaningful software that impacts the world and our business.
**Responsibilities** :
+ Manage and lead a team of engineers responsible for the Platform's 3D Runtimes & Pipelines development team
+ Oversee the development team responsible for the native 3D capabilities of the iTwin and Cesium platforms, including the development and maintenance of 3D tiling pipelines and Cesium plugins for game engines like Unreal and Unity.
+ Work directly with the Head of Engineering to support overall professional growth, including recruiting, training, mentoring, and performance management of the team. Work closely with the Division Chief Technology Officer (DCTO) to execute robust and scalable architecture.
+ Facilitates a culture of openness and collaboration, internally within and among teams, and externally with the open-source community that we serve
+ Collaborates cross-functionally, especially with Product Management, to execute the roadmap
+ Runs the systems and processes to enable us to continuously ship high-quality software that users want while transparently engaging all stakeholders
**Requirements:**
+ This is a management role requiring creating space for teams to do their best work, culture championing, and running systems and processes. This is not a technical expert role.
+ Has 10+ years of experience in software development with significant and sustained demonstrable experience of distributed teams to enduring success
+ Leadership experience developing successful APIs, libraries, platforms, and/or specifications for software developers
+ Is a fantastic communicator in person and in writing to a variety of stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences, and individual contributors and executives
+ Is transparent, has no hidden agenda, and demonstrates a high degree of emotional intelligence
+ Knowledge of geospatial, AECO, and/or computer graphics is preferred
+ Knowledge of 3D development and 3D graphics is a bonus
+ Knowledge of Cesium, 3D Tiles, gl TF, iTwin, BIS, and/or iModel is a bonus

Senior Line Engineers are part of a service engineering team that provide 24/7 engineering technical support for United Airlines Worldwide fleet of operational aircraft to ensure the timely return to service. Identify and correct code related bugs in multiple product areas

Learn and apply troubleshooting methodologies related to networking, SQL database administration, data integrity checking, design document and business process review, hardware virtualization, and software logging analysis
Provide creative solutions and workaround procedures when standard methods have failed

Education and Experience:
Working towards a degree in one of the following of equivalent work experience:
Computer Science, Computer Information System, Computer and Information Science, Mathematics or a related field
Basic experience and working knowledge of C# and Visual Studio
Highly desirable areas are:

LINQ (SQL and XML)
SQL relational database knowledge
