2026 Engineering Summer Internship
Note: This is an on-site program, in Gallatin, TN.
Attention Rising Juniors or Seniors pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Engineering. Beretta provides the opportunity to learn while collaborating in our Manufacturing Engineering and R&D Departments.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented intern to support the Engineering Department in our manufacturing facility in Gallatin TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering (specifically in metal removal/machining processes) or Industrial Engineering, as well as introductory level experience with MS Office applications (Access, Excel, Word) and CAD/Solid Modeling software. The intern will participate in supporting various engineering functions including drawing support and data management, product validation testing, manufacturing process support, tool and fixture design and updates, plant layout, efficiency, labor and capacity planning and lean manufacturing and 5S activities. This internship will provide an excellent introduction to Beretta USA Engineering & engineering supporting functions.
Duties:
Provides support to the Engineering Function in the following areas:
Support and assist with developing and testing manufacturing processes
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues - problem solving and root cause analysis
Create and maintain process documentation
Support operators and setup personnel/technicians on the factory floor
Support testing and validation of existing and new products in development or production
Generate and update CAD drawings and solid models of components and assemblies
Maintain product data including product definition documents (drawings and specifications), Bills of Material, and other supporting documentation
Support product and process brainstorming and design activities
Support analysis of workforce utilization, plant layout and operational data such as production cost, process flow charts, production schedules and capacity planning
Recommend and support implementation of methods to improve worker efficiency and eliminate waste
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Rising Juniors or Seniors pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Senior pursuing a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering or related degree.
Familiarity with MS Office applications
Familiarity with 3D Solid modeling/CAD
Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review the hospital census or utilize established referral method to identify self-pay patients consistently throughout the day.
Screen those patients that are referred to Firstsource for State, County and/or Federal eligibility assistance programs.
Initiate the application process bedside when possible.
Identifies specific patient needs and assist them with an enrollment application to the appropriate agency for assistance.
Introduces the patients to Firstsource services and informs them that we will be contacting them on a regular basis about their progress.
Provides transition, as applicable, for the backend Patient Advocate Specialist to develop a positive relationship with the patient.
Records all patient information on the designated in-house screening sheet.
Document the results of the screening in the onsite tracking tool and hospital computer system.
Identifies out-patient/ER accounts from the census or applicable referral method that are designated as self-pay.
Reviews system for available information for each outpatient account identified as self-pay.
Face to face screen patients on site as able. Attempts to reach patient by telephone if unable to screen face to face.
Document out-patient/ER accounts when accepted in the hospital system and on-site tracking tool.

Position Summary
Florim USA is seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Mechanic to join our Central Maintenance team. This role is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations. The ideal candidate is mechanically strong, safety-focused, and adaptable to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:

Perform routine preventive maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment in accordance with LiftOne PM schedules and manufacturer guidelines
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Conduct safety inspections to ensure equipment compliance with OSHA/TOSHA and company standards
Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and support production continuity
Replace or repair components such as brakes, steering systems, hydraulic lines, batteries, and electrical controls
Maintain accurate service and repair documentation in the designated maintenance system
Coordinate parts usage and inventory needs related to forklift repairs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Collaborate with Central Maintenance, Operations, and Safety teams to support plant-wide initiatives

What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in forklift, heavy equipment, or industrial maintenance
MSSC Certified Forklift Technician (CFT) strongly recommended
Candidates with sufficient experience who do not yet hold the certification may obtain the MSSC CFT (or equivalent) within 90 days of hire
Working knowledge of OSHA/TOSHA safety standards
Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and on-call as needed

The Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer plays a key role in developing and managing manufacturing quality systems. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
CMM/Metrology
Program, prove out, and optimize CMM routines in PC-DMIS; develop offline programs from CAD models and run complex alignments, best-fit, and iterative routines.
Establish probing strategies, feature constructions, and reporting that align with ASME Y14.5.
GD&T Leadership
Interpret and apply ASME Y14.5 to drive datum schemes that are manufacturable and inspectable.
Partner with Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and CNC Programming to convert prints into robust control plans and tolerance stack-ups.
Gage & Fixture Design
Design attribute and variable gages (go/no-go, functional gages, fixtures, custom nests); model in CAD and collaborate with vendors for build.
Process & Product Quality
Build/maintain Control Plans, FMEAs, FAI/PPAP packages.
Lead root cause and corrective action using 8D/A3/5-Why; reduce scrap, rework, and escapes with data-driven countermeasures.
Apply SPC and capability analysis (Cp/Cpk/Pp/Ppk) to milling/turning cells; set rational sampling frequencies and reaction plans.
Shop-Floor Enablement
Support CNC milling and lathe setups; align inspection to machining realities (tool wear, offsets, fixturing, thermal effects).
Coach operators/inspectors on, in-process checks, and safe handling of precision equipment.
Other Job Functions:
Communicator who can translate metrology for machinists and design engineers.
Decisive in MRB/escape scenarios.
Assist on cross-functional projects as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This role operates within a collaborative office setting with computer-based tasks and production floor involvement.
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION:
10+ years in manufacturing / precision metrology.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related engineering discipline.
PC-DMIS Level 3 training/certification with demonstrated expertise in complex routines and CAD model-based inspection.
Expert in GD&T (ASME Y14.5) with hands-on tolerance analysis and datum scheme development.
Understanding of CNC milling and lathes-capabilities, limitations, and how to design measurement around them.
Gage design experience (attribute/variable) includes Gage R&R and integration into control plans.
Proficiency with SPC collection and reporting; exposure to integration from inspection equipment to management dashboards.
CAD/CAM literacy (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, Mastercam) for design review and gage and fixture modeling.
Firearms Knowledge a plus.
