Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Road tests vehicles when required. Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events. Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins. Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Ensures that vehicle is kept clean. Notifies service advisor/dispatcher immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Keeps shop area neat and clean. Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received. Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know etc. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports any safety issues immediately to management. Other tasks as assigned. Requirements: Must have valid Driver's License 3 years related experience. Essential Duties * Communicate with dispatchers & customers clearly and providing excellent customer service. * Respond timely to mobile service location. * Troubleshooting and repairing all makes of vehicles on roadside and or worksite which include but is not limited to multi point inspections, filter replacement, recalls, and module reprogramming. * When not out on mobile service, assist with designated in-shop repairs as directed by supervisor. * Perform diagnostics, maintenance and recalls at customers facilities. * Communicate all work performed via legible writing on tags, work orders and/or invoices. * Perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner. Use all provided safety equipment including seat belts, gloves, jack stands, wheel chocks, safety glasses, hi visibility clothing and cages. * Maintain safe driving record. * Operate mobile service vehicle. * Perform daily maintenance to vehicle, tools and equipment. * Maintain professional relationship with customers. * Other tasks as assigned.
