About the Opportunity
DMI is seeking a Hardware Asset Management Specialist to support a federal customer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for IT hardware asset lifecycle - receiving, updating, and tracking of IT hardware assets in ServiceNow.
Manage asset inventory and replenishment in inventory stockrooms
Participate in development of procedures for tracking of IT hardware Assets and Consumables
Enter and maintain IT hardware asset data in asset records such as asset tags, owners, costs, dates, and audit schedules.
Perform physical inventories with scanning equipment to validate asset locations
Assist in reconciliation of hardware inventory audits and remote asset verification
Participate in staging and reconciling of hardware equipment for shipments and decommissioning
Collaborate with the Configuration Management team to remediate discovery and model normalization of hardware in the CMDB
Follow all IT Asset Management policies and procedures as stated
Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed
