    Berkeley College is looking for a Dean, School of Health Studies, who reports to the Provost and has overall responsibility for planning, managing, and assessing all academic programs offered by the School of Health Studies; attaining and maintaining program accreditation; leading the processes for hiring and evaluating full-time and part-time faculty; maintaining strong relationships with advisory boards and specialized accrediting bodies and overseeing all activities that contribute to student access, retention, learning and success in the School of Health Studies. The Dean is the academic leader of the School of Health Studies and will have the vision and experience in curriculum development to ensure that the School of Health Studies programs are academically rigorous and competitive in the market. The Dean will demonstrate leadership in program and curriculum development; possess advanced administrative, organizational, and communication skills and promote excellence in teaching and learning. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide leadership for program development and work collaboratively with faculty to plan for and recommend curriculum addition, modification, and deletions; set priorities for resource needs; provide program analyses and multi-year instructional plans and participate in strategic and long-range instructional planning for the School of Health Studies. Maintain acknowledge base of new developments and innovations in nursing and allied health educational programs, and higher education in general; perform market and trend analyses which drive new program growth in areas which are career focused and recommend changes to maintain relevance of School of Health Studies programs and to meet student and community needs. Oversee academic program reviews within the School of Health Studies. Develop and maintain relationships with the business, civic and healthcare communities. Promote student success and academic program completion through School and College strategic initiatives. Provide personnel oversight for the School while supporting academic professional growth and development. Oversee, in collaboration with the Assistant Dean and Chairs/Coordinators, a schedule of course offerings (including all modalities); monitor faculty loads, supervise instructional programs; facilitate institutional, program, and course assessment. Engage in strategic planning initiatives which result in data-driven achievable goals and outcomes. Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and specialized accreditation regulations and laws. Serve on various on-campus, advisory, community, and professional committees. Assist in developing articulation agreements to reduce barriers to student success and completion. Build relationships with corporate learning partners (CLPs), high school and two-year college partners to increase opportunities for students. Represent the College and the School of Health Studies to a variety of internal and external committees as necessary and or appropriate. Other duties as assigned by the Provost. Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 Qualifications: This position requires: A doctorate degree earned in a relevant discipline. A strong record of academic administration experience in higher education, for example: three (3) years of educational administrative experience as a director, department chair level or above. Experience with the development and evaluation of new programs and curricula. Evidence of innovation and entrepreneurial successes in an academic environment. Experience working with specialized accreditors as applicable. Experience with onsite, online and blended course delivery methods. A minimum of five (5) years' successful teaching experience in a post-secondary institution. Excellent skills in leadership, communication, organization, technology and collaboration. An ability to motivate others to work together toward a common goal. An ability to build consensus among diverse groups for the overall success of the organization or a given project. A high level of professionalism and sound judgment. Familiarity with the operations of a proprietary school and of higher education policy issues. A willingness to travel to all campus locations. An ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
