REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience litigating workers compensation cases as a member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
LANGUAGE ABILITY: Able to read, analyze, and interpret complex legal documents, legal opinions, claims laws and regulations, technical claims processes and procedures, and medical reports. Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders, Claims Adjusting teams, and clients.
NEGOTIATION ABILITY: Seeks to find common interests around which agreement may be reached. Develops and adheres to a negotiation strategy. Offers compromises while standing firm on the important points. Is persuasive.

As a member of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing's U.S. Asset Management team, the individual will play an integral role working with all senior staff members in fulfilling specific property and/or portfolio level responsibilities. Responsibilities will focus on providing analytical support for the asset management team utilizing Argus cash flow and Excel software.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Work directly with asset managers, leasing and property management teams on approximately 30 - 35 assets
* Prepare cash flow analyses, including: sensitivity analyses, quarterly cash flow models, annual asset valuations and in-depth valuation and hold/sell analyses
* Review and assist in preparation of budgets and preparation of strategic plans
* Analyze and review leases
* Prepare quarterly client reports

Director Role
The Director of Investment Accounting Regulatory Reporting ensures accurate statutory filings and sub-ledger systems, implements accounting changes, conducts technical research, actively participates in industry discussions, monitors regulatory developments, and directly interfaces with stakeholders to determine appropriate regulatory treatment for assets under management, while also managing securities filings with the NAIC's Securities Valuation Office.

ABF is currently seeking a Summer Associate to join its El Segundo, CA-based investment team to focus on consumer credit and related specialty finance opportunities. Relevant sub-sectors to include auto loans and leases, private student loans, point-of-sale (e.g., home improvement, residential solar, etc.), personal unsecured loans, credit cards, chattel loans, and other granular specialty finance asset types. Prior experience is not expected in each of these sub-sectors; however, a willingness and ability to tackle new sections will be key. Qualifications & Experience
* Pursuing an MBA or Master's degree (Class of 2027) from a top-tier university with a record of academic achievement (ideally in a field requiring quantitative or technical aptitude such as economics, finance, math, etc.)
