The Information Technology Group of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer III. This position is responsible for collaborating with a scrum team and stakeholders to develop applications for our customers. Also responsible for improving and adapting existing applications to meet ongoing security requirements and feature enhancements. This is a full-time hybrid-remote position, in a positive and flexible environment. Residency within 100 miles of the Kansas City, Missouri office is required.
Responsibilities Include
* Develop applications based on business and technical requirements
* Implement application design by utilizing development languages and tools
* Develop and execute unit tests for assigned projects
* Ensure the code is scalable and meets performance requirements for assigned projects through performance tuning

We're looking for a meticulous Backend Software Engineer to join us, with runway for huge and immediate impact. You would be working on internal tools with the rest of software, mechanical and electrical engineers.
What you'll do
Build and scale internal tools that support and streamline our production facilities
Develop robust systems in Rust to improve manufacturing efficiency and reliability
