Peter Eastwood is President & Chief Executive Officer, Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. Peter’s career in the insurance industry spans over 26 years. Prior to leading BHSI, Peter was Chief Executive Officer and President of AIG Property Casualty in the Americas. Peter also served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Chartis, U.S., as well as Chief Executive Officer and President of Lexington Insurance Company from December 2008 to July 2011. Prior to that, Peter served as the President of Risk Specialists Companies, Inc. He has held senior management positions within AIG Executive Liability, AIG Risk Finance and AIG Reinsurance Advisors, including Division Vice President of Commercial Directors and Officers Liability Insurance and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of AIG Risk Finance.

Peter holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University and a Masters in Business Administration degree from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

David Fields is an Executive Vice President & Chief Underwriting Officer at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and is based in Boston, Massachusetts. He has worked as Assistant Actuary, SVP at AIG; Chief Actuary, AIGRM at AIG; and President, Risk Finance Division at AIG. David studied at Rutgers University between 1973 and 1977 and NEW YORK UNIVERSITY between 1977 and 1980.

Susan Gildea is Chief Actuary of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, responsible for the global actuarial organization. Susan has been in the insurance industry for over 25 years. Prior to joining BHSI, she was Vice President and Lead Actuary for the Specialty Businesses at the Hanover Insurance group. Susan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Framingham State College and is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.

Alex Kogan is Chief Underwriting Officer, Accident & Health, of Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance. Alex is responsible for underwriting support and oversight of BHSI’s Medical Stop Loss, and Leisure Travel businesses in the US, as well as Accident and Health product lines globally. Alex has over 20 years of actuarial, underwriting, and leadership experience in Accident, Medical, Disability and Life insurance product lines offered via multiple distribution channels in both the US and International (Canada, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Middle East) markets. Prior to BHSI, Alex has held actuarial and underwriting leadership positions at Chubb and AIG. Alex holds a Bachelor of Commerce (honors) degree from the University of Manitoba in Canada, majoring in Actuarial Mathematics. Alex is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.

Andre Basile is a SVP, Chief Underwriting Officer, Executive and Professional Lines at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance.

Angela Reinle is a Chief Actuary, UK & Europe at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and is based in London, Greater London, United Kingdom. She has worked as Financial Institutions Deputy Underwriter at Munich Re; Senior Pricing Actuary Financial Lines, Overseas General Insurance at Chubb; and Underwriting Actuary at Munich Re. Carlos Assmann is a Chief Visionary Officer - CVO LATAM at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance and is based in Hannover, Lower Saxony State, Germany.
