This role involves evaluating, treating, and managing respiratory conditions across various clinical settings. Job Responsibilities Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medication, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator management. Monitor patient responses and vital signs, adjusting therapy as needed based on physician orders and protocols. Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, including mechanical ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen delivery systems. Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis, and interpret results to inform clinical decisions. Assist in emergency situations including code blues and rapid responses involving respiratory distress or failure. Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and disease management. Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and documentation standards. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC required. State licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) as applicable. BLS and ACLS certifications required.
