Conducts initial and ongoing assessments of strengths, needs, and risk factors, in accordance with the Intact Family Services plan.
Develops and implements service plans, in collaboration with client's family, in accordance with the Intact Family Services plan. Directs implementation of client services and treatment goals. Makes referrals to community service providers to address issues such as housing, mental health, substance abuse treatment, or domestic violence.
In accordance with each family's service plan, provides case management, mentoring, advocacy, support, and education that will protect children and preserve families. Counsels individuals regarding issues including, but not limited to, parenting, unemployment, housing, substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma, childcare, and/or medical care.
Completes and maintains case notes, client records, reports and other required documentation according to organization's guidelines for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
Complies with all pertinent state and federal laws, DCFS Rules and Procedures, and the Code of Ethics for Child Welfare Professionals. Provides court testimony related to services provided to clients as required. Informs the supervisor of any legal issues related to agency services.
Represents the organization in a positive, professional light to active and potential clients, referral and funding sources, and the general public.
Enhances professional competence through appropriate training activities and ongoing awareness of developments in the child welfare field.
Participates in the Peer Review process for client files. Contributes to quality improvement through active participation in Quality Improvement activities.
SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS:
Must be bilingual in English/Spanish with ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish fluently.
Maintains and expresses positive attitude about their job, the service constituencies and the organization.
Responds to clients and/or customers within 24 hours.
Carry an average caseload of 10 to 12 families. When program needs are high, number may increase.
Participate in on call crisis rotation per crisis plan.
Meet all the requirements in DCFS Rule .388 and the FY21 Program Plan.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in social work and one year of child welfare experience OR a bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of child welfare experience.
Bilingual in Spanish fluently (oral and written) required.
Previous DCFS Foundations training and Illinois Child Welfare Employee License (CWEL) or be eligible for and able to obtain upon hire.
Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekend hours as needed to meet the needs of the agency and the families we serve.
Must pass drug screen and necessary background checks.

Exciting opportunity to be part of a new program that will provide new models of care for walk-in/urgent care access including days, evenings and weekends. The new CHA CBHC Cambridge program provides behavioral health evaluation and initial treatment services for individuals of all ages.
Summary
The Supervisor, Social Work provides day-to-day coordination and oversight of the staff in the CBHC, reporting to the Program Manager of the CBHC Urgent Care and the Director of Urgent Care/Access Services. Runs team huddles and meetings as needed, performs triage, assigns cases and monitors caseloads, is the point person for clinical and administrative issues that arise on the team (such as Section 12), is responsible for clinical oversight of team patients, and provides handoff to the Program Manager on patient and staff issues. Acts as a liason with the Mobile Crisis Intervention Team and Psychiatric Emergency Service when in the supervisory role. The Supervisor, SocialWorker functions as a clinical socialworker in the service, providing evaluation and treatment services for patients.
Qualifications:
+ Masters degree in Social Work
+ Licensure: Current MA licensure as LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical SocialWorker)
+ When required, must be credentialed by the CHA Medical Staff for practice in relevant clinical practice areas, such as individual, couple, family, or group psychotherapy
+ Work Experience: Minimum of three years post masters degree, in clinical or human service setting with relevant populations

Job Purpose

Department Description:
With approximately 100,300 ED visits annually, the CHA Emergency Departments are fast-paced, constantly changing environments with rapid patient turnover.
Summary:
Behavioral Health Clinicians within the Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES) are vital members of a multidisciplinary treatment team. The behavioral health clinician works closely with nurses, physician assistants, and physicians in a fast-paced, high stress environment, and is under the clinical supervision of the psychiatrist. The behavioral health clinician completes psychiatric assessments, provides crisis counseling, and implements treatment planning for patients in the PES. The behavioral health clinician identifies appropriate resources and obtains collateral information, as needed, from patients' supports including family members, friends and outpatient providers. The diversity of the client population served, in addition to the treatment modalities utilized, requires interdisciplinary expertise and collaboration. The training responsibilities are assigned by the PES Program Leader in accordance with the training needs of the department.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Education/Training: Masters degree, Mental Health Counseling or related field
+ Current MA licensure as an Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical SocialWorker (LCSW), or Licensed Independent Clinical SocialWorker(LICSW)
+ Certifications: Must be credentialed by the CHA Medical Staff for practice in relevant clinical areas.
+ Previous Experience: Minimum of two years post Masters degree experience with acute psychiatric population strongly preferred.
+ Physical Skills: Successful completion of physical agility assessment.
+ Mental Skills: Analytical, organizational, observational and documentation skills, including experience with electronic medical record documentation.
+ Experience with insurance authorization process, and knowledge of behavioral health resources.
