RESPONSIBILITIES:
· You'll be a team player and will be responsible for bussing, cleaning and properly resetting tables.
· You will have a general knowledge of our food and drink menu and be able to recommend and upsell products.
· Will answer the phones in a prompt and professional manner and direct calls as applicable.
· You will be assisting throughout the restaurant by delivering food & bar beverages, assisting with Guests and ensuring that every opportunity to WOW a customer is completed. Teamwork is essential and required by all Outbackers.

You'll: Guest Experience & Service Excellence • Provide polished, attentive, and engaging service to bar guests and dining room patrons.

Beverage Preparation & Knowledge • Prepare and execute classic and signature cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to exact specifications.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the cocktail menu, spirits, wines, beer selections, ingredients, and preparation techniques.
• Provide informed guidance on wine selections, pairings, and tasting notes.
• Ensure proper glassware, garnish, temperature, and presentation for every beverage served.
Bar Operations & Presentation • Set up, stock, and break down the bar before and after service, ensuring readiness and organization.
• Maintain a clean, elegant, and well-organized bar at all times, consistent with fine-dining standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for spirits, mixers, garnishes, and supplies.
• Accurately ring in orders and process payments using the POS system, maintaining accountability and accuracy.
Fine Dining Operations • Work closely with Servers and Wait Assistants to support dining room beverage service.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior bar staff when requested.
• Support special events, private dining, and high-profile services with flexibility and professionalism.
• Complete all opening, mid-shift, and closing sidework as assigned.
• Adhere to all responsible alcohol service laws and company policies.
• Verify guest age and manage alcohol consumption with professionalism and discretion.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards, including proper handling of glassware and bar tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of bar equipment and surrounding areas.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR • 2+ years of bartending experience in a fine-dining or upscale cocktail environment.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, classic cocktails, wine, and bar technique.
• Formal beverage education (WSET, BarSmarts, or similar) preferred.
• Exceptional guest engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed during high-volume service.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to presentation and consistency.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
