Position Summary WWF seeks an intern to assist the Private Sector Engagement (PSE) team in the development and management of corporate partnerships that support WWF's conservation mission, enhance revenue, and raise awareness of WWF and its conservation priorities. The intern will contribute to various projects related to some of WWF's corporate partnerships. The PSE team works across WWF teams, including climate, food, freshwater, oceans, wildlife, forests, and science to coordinate private engagement efforts. The PSE team works with companies at all stages of their sustainability journey. Together, we map a vision that sets a high sustainability standard across a company's entire operations, and well beyond. Responsibilities * Research and Analysis: Assist in industry research and analysis to support the team's strategy for corporate partnerships focused on area-based conservation. This will involve critical thinking and light data entry. * Grant Support: Support the Major Giving Portfolio Lead in tracking and researching grants and assisting in the preparation of proposals. * Metric Tracking Support: Compile and monitor PSE Corporate Philanthropy data, providing updates to team members and assisting in the creation of consolidated reports (e.g., quarterly and end-of-year). * Communication Materials: Support the PSE Corporate Philanthropy team in compiling and reviewing external- and internal-facing communications materials, presentations, and briefings. LANWT is the fifth largest legal aid firm in the United States. OVERVIEW: LANWT seeks dynamic, self-starting law students who have vision, initiative, and a demonstrated commitment to public interest law benefiting low-income communities for its Community Revitalization Project (CRP) at various locations throughout its service area. Law clerks will be responsible for assisting attorneys in providing legal services, advocacy, and transaction work in the following areas of community revitalization: Affordable Fair Housing - increasing access to fair housing; removing barriers to developing and maintaining affordable housing for individuals; educating communities regarding fair housing issues; eliminating discriminatory housing practices and ensuring the affordability, accessibility, and integration of public housing, subsidized housing, and private housing. Environmental Justice - addressing environmental injustices, including exposure to high levels of pollution, health impacts related to exposure of pollution, resulting community deterioration; and protecting low-income communities from environmental hazards. Community Development and Advocacy - ensuring the right to meaningful input on matters affecting the community; advocating to promote economic justice; ensuring fair allocation of infrastructure resources; combating predatory lending practices; and addressing displacement, substandard housing, high crime, and other public safety issues in low-income communities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Law clerks work with attorneys on case development, outreach, and litigation. Under the supervision of an attorney, a law clerk's primary responsibilities are to perform legal and factual research, assist with community education, and to develop case strategies and legal theories. Law clerks may also have the opportunity to assist attorneys with preparing legal documents, attend administrative and/or court proceedings, and to meet with clients and experts. Clerks will be afforded the opportunity to work alongside the state's most prominent advocates in the fields of affordable fair housing, environmental law, and community development. The Intern, Community Mental Health collaborates with Program Directors, Team Leaders, and Community Support Specialists to provide direct service to members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Attend New Staff Orientation prior to starting the internship. * Provides direct service to members, as indicated by the service plan, while supervised by an appropriate, designated staff person. Consistent with the intern's level of experience and training, this potentially includes but is not limited to individual counseling/therapy, case management, teaching, assessment, assertive community treatment, job support, managing medications, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and group counseling/therapy. This may be done in the community or on site at a Thresholds location, but the majority of services will be provided in the community unless otherwise specified by a supervisor. * Completion of all assigned paperwork in a timely fashion, such as individual and group documentation, attendance reports, service plans and evaluations as assigned by the supervisor. * Provide accurate and timely information to the supervisor on all topics and issues important to the rehabilitation and well-being of Thresholds members. * Attend staff and team meetings as assigned by a supervisor. * Maintain a professional demeanor with members, colleagues, and collateral contacts consistent with agency ethics and code of conduct guidelines. EDUCATION * Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's degree program with a major in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Vocational Counseling, Family Therapy, or other related human service programs. * 1st or 2nd year Master's students preferred. EXPERIENCE * Social service experience and/or experience working with individuals with mental illness preferred. * Ability to synthesize and summarize information and make judgments regarding member care. * Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to provide information to members and healthcare personnel. * Demonstrated ability to function independently. * Computer skills required; knowledge of database functions and maintenance necessary.
