Minimum Qualifications
Education
A Bachelor's degree in nursing required, Master's degree in Psychiatric Nursing preferred.
Experience
4 + years of Inpatient Psychiatric experience, or combination pediatric and psychiatric experience required.
Managerial/supervisory experience, preferred.
The analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experienced-based knowledge.
Strong communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, or well-developed writing skills.

The Vascular Access Service at Boston Children's Hospital provides vascular access care to patients and families across the lifespan. This program places 14,000 PIVCs and 800 PICCs annually throughout the enterprise, including critical care, emergency department, inpatient units, procedural areas, and ambulatory care settings. Phase 1 of orientation includes 12 weeks of training on PIVC Insertion, phlebotomy, dressing changes, and management of vascular access device complications. PICC training is encompassed in phase two, which begins after at least one year of experience; this entails a minimum of 12-16 weeks of simulation and hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Insertion of vascular access devices, including PIVCs and PICCs, using transillumination devices, ultrasound guidance, and ECG technology.
* Performing other vascular access procedures, including phlebotomy on DIVA patients, routine infant PICC dressing changes and complex dressings with skin complications, clearance of occluded central catheters, management of malpositioned PICCs, and other device-related complications.

Interventional radiology is a minimally invasive way of assessing disease and delivering targeted treatments. * Managing patients in Interventional Radiology throughout the continuum of care.
* Patient assessment, procedural care, and recovery from anesthesia.

The Neuroscience floor is a 31-bed Medical/Surgical Unit with patients ranging in age from newborn up. Patients are from the following primary services: Epilepsy, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neuro Oncology. Patients originate from the PACU, MICU, NICU, direct admits and through the Emergency Room. Our Neuroscience teams work within the concept of family-centered care, with diagnoses that range from simple to complex. It is an exciting place to learn and grow professionally as we strive to provide exceptional care through evidence-based practices and innovations throughout all our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Caring for patients with diagnoses that can include seizures, demyelinating disorders, encephalitis, hydrocephalus, brain and spinal tumors.
* Delivering family-centered care, with diagnoses that range from simple to complex.
* Working in a collaborative environment with opportunities for learning and career growth.
* Working 36hours per week, day/night rotation, every other weekend (permanent night available if interested)
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
* A Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Experience:
* Minimum of 1 year of inpatient acute care RN experience
* Pediatric experience preferred
* APHON Chemotherapy/ Biotherapy certification preferred
* CNRN encouraged
Licensure/Certifications:
