Follows departmental guidelines and protocols in performance of all procedures in Mammography/Breast Imaging.
Follows departmental guidelines and protocols in scheduling and documentation of exams and maintaining accurate and complete records relative to the examinations performed.
Performs quality control on all equipment according to standard procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Confirms with patient two patient identifiers (Full Name & DOB).
Checks requested exams for orders, indication, appropriateness and pertinent history.
Required Qualifications:
Vocational or Technical training required. Associate's degree preferred.
Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required., and ARRT and MA license in Mammography & Radiography required.
0-1 years related work experience required.
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Reviews exams for quality control (QC) using the Digital system; recognizes artifacts, motion and correct positioning.
Responsible for participating with the Process Manager in the QC process for department, utilizing ACR standards.
Applies the lowest dose of ionizing radiation that is reasonably achievable, known as ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable), required to produce clear images.

Conducts mammography exams, assisting patient in disrobing, being sensitive to the patient privacy and modesty during this highly personal patient contact.
Adjusts equipment and patient to optimize exam results while trying to make the patient as comfortable as possible.
Educates and informs patients and family members throughout the patients' experience.
Enters/edits examinations correctly, ensuring accurate and informative documentation and appropriate charge entries.
Electronically scans, sends and stores images and data appropriately in PACS.
Maintains/makes entries into department records and logs to monitor quality and safety in accordance with departmental policies.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment presenting the best possible impression of facilities and fostering our culture of safety.
Responds to supply and equipment issues in a timely manner to ensure optimum operations and equipment quality and long-term equipment maintenance and life.

Vocational or Technical training in Radiologic Technology required. Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
License Radiology MA License required., and Registration RT ART required.
1-3 years related work experience required.
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer 1-3 years of Special Procedure experience.
