The department supports patients referred for same day & time sensitive cardiology evaluations, post cardiology procedure patients and patient groups requiring short term interventions or clinical evaluations.Job Description:Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments. Security is stationed in the Emergency Department waiting area A 3-room Triage staffed 24/7 by a nurse, and Medical Provider during prime hours. This area can be utilized for rapid interventions, vertical flow/one touch patients, and rapid medical screenings. Triage nurses assigned triage acuity level for each ambulatory patient based on ESI. Ancillary staff are made up of ED Technicians, Administrative Associates, Mental Health Technicians, and Security.
