**Primary Responsibilities** Follows work schedule and performs all daily and weekly job tasks in assigned work area to meet department standards of cleanliness. Understands and follows department procedures at all times. Follows instructions and responds to work assignments from the manager or lead person all of the time.
Provides thorough cleaning and restocks all supplies in assigned work areas (patient rooms, rest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, etc.).
Manages work time in an efficient manner, and completes work scheduled by the end of the shift.
Inspects work area and performs necessary cleaning tasks independently.
Cleans floors by dry mopping and damp mopping them, including edges and corners. Moves and cleans behind equipment, etc., as needed.
Takes the initiative to make sufficient time for low and high dusting of assigned areas. Keeps vents dust free.
Removes trash from assigned work areas at the beginning and end of shift.
Spot washes walls or carpets as needed.
Polishes stainless steel, brass, and other smooth surfaces according to work schedule.
Maintains department equipment and keeps all equipment clean and safe. Notifies supervisor of any equipment problems or unsafe working conditions.
Maintains adequate par level of supplies in floor closets and on carts at all times. Maintains a neat, organized, housekeeping cart and closet.
Attends hospital/department inservices and meetings as required.
**For staff working in patient care areas only** :
Arranges work schedule accordingly to assist with the timely cleaning of discharged beds.
Ensures that cleaned rooms are well organized, with the correct amount of chairs in the room and a patient guide at the bedside at all times.
Assists Nursing staff with keeping laundry bags emptied.
Moves equipment to and from patient rooms to storage areas.
**Required Qualifications**
Cleaning experience in a hospital or industrial setting, with experience in sanitation principles and techniques preferred.
Ability to read and write in order to understand directions and warnings on cleaning supplies and various postings, and to complete logs.
Interpersonal skills to be pleasant and courteous and interact with patients, visitors, and all levels of hospital staff.
Ability to pay close attention to detail for a majority of the workday.

As an integral member of the Radiology department that assists both internal and external customers including patients, technologists, radiologist, nurses and physicians. Performs a variety of duties both clerical and non-technical. This includes positioning, lifting, transferring patients and other related patient care responsibilities.
I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates patient flow prepares patients for exams and reports any necessary information given to them by the patient or care taker to the appropriate resources. Monitors and observes the inpatient holding area to ensure that patients' needs are attended to and patient wait times are minimized.
2. Utilizes computer-based systems to verify patient information. Prints out daily schedules and check status of patients' exams/visits to maintain efficiency and ensure prompt care of patients within the department. Answers phone calls and assists in the scheduling of exams.
3. Prepares rooms with proper equipment and supplies and when necessary assists the technologist with preparing a table for procedures, utilizing sterile technique. Assist in the disassembly and cleaning of patient equipment following a procedure.
4. Assists technologist on portable x-ray rounds including C-Arms with positioning equipment and patients as directed.
5. Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to patient's needs and concerns. Assist patients to bathroom or on bed pans as required. May assist patient with getting comfortable.
6. Notifies Patient Transport that patient is ready for pickup. Monitors Patient Transport system to avoid patient delay. Follows-up with Patient Transport when delays occur. Assists or independently transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher when patient's condition warrants it or if there are delays in the transport system.
7. Confirms patients scheduled appointments and provides them with information regarding the time of their exam, the prep to follow, campus location and registration process.
8. Monitors and orders supplies to maintain par levels. Perform secondary erasure of all CR cassettes when necessary and cassette cleaning on a regular basis.

What will you do?
You will play a very important role in preparing for surgical procedures and assists surgeons by passing instruments and supplies, holding retractor and anticipating needs during surgical procedures.
Additional duties entail:
Understanding and satisfying the supply and equipment needs of the neonatal, infant, toddler, pre-school, school-age, adolescent and/or adult patient.
Scrubbing all simple and intermediate surgical cases following the principles of aseptic practice.

What is required?
High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
Currently enrolled in a Surgical Technology Program. Not eligible to start internship until you are within a year of graduation (must show proof of enrollment).
Current CPR certification - BLS Healthcare Providers American Heart or American Red Cross required

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Surgical technologists, also called scrubs and surgical or operating room technicians, assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. Surgical technologists are members of operating room teams, which most commonly include surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating nurses.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures
* Help prepare the operating room by setting up the sterile field to include surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions
* Follows state and federal facility regulations when attending to patients
* Performs pre-procedure preparations to the patient's skin and body
* Completes a safety check prior to start of the procedure on appropriate equipment, supplies, etc.
* Assembles both sterile and non-sterile equipment, as well as checking to ensure it is working properly
* May assist with positioning on the procedure table
* Drapes the patient with surgical drapes per procedure to be performed
* Passes instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons and surgeon assistants
* Retracts, cut sutures and performs other functions under the supervision of the physician performing the procedure
* Participates in the count of sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments, based on type of procedure performed
* Helps prepare specimens and assists with the disposition of specimens
* Applies dressings
* Post-procedure, assists with patient transfer from the procedure bed to the stretcher
* Cleans and restocks the procedure room
* Pulls supplies and instruments for upcoming procedures
* Assists with the maintenance of physician preference cards and inventory management
