Betts Truck Parts and Service is now hiring for an Entry-Level Hydraulic Cylinder Rebuilder at our San Leandro facility. This is a full-time, day shift position, Monday through Friday.

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and testing of hydraulic cylinders, including single-stage and multi-stage types, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.
· Positively represents Betts to all customers, vendors associates and other contacts in a respectful and professional manner.
· Applicant must be bi lingual in Spanish and English
· Examines cylinder and discusses with Lead the nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
· Completes paper work documenting parts needed and description of work to be performed.
· Replaces components such as seals shafts housings and related parts.
· Must have a basic knowledge of mechanical properties.
· Must know how to properly use a cutting torch and have the capability to weld.
· Must have a basic understanding of safety procedures while using lifting equipment.
· Must have a basic understanding of measure components and verify if they are in or out of specifications.

Job Description:
We seek to hire an experienced Claims Oversight Specialist to join our claims oversight team. The ideal candidate will have experience in California workers' compensation, denying, settling, or authorizing payments to workers' comp claims. In this role, you will be responsible for corresponding with policyholders, claimants, witnesses, attorneys, etc., to gather important information to support contested claims.
Investigating claims and compiling reports within the given timeframe after receipt of the first injury report
Preparing and delivering claims updates and reviews to internal stakeholders and clients
Strategically handle investigations and tactically tackle issues
Requesting records as required
Notifying the employer of his or her claim determination based on findings
Collecting and evaluating claims and authorizing payments
Keeping in contact with the injured worker and the medical professionals concerning the status of the injury and plans for treatment
Contacting the claimant's employers or doctors for additional information if the claim is questionable
Assessing settlement decisions and opportunities
Being present at mediations, either by phone or in person

Format customer request into a standardized spreadsheet for bid review
Break down bid package and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors for project quotation levels while communicating deadline, project information, and any additional pertinent information available
Receive pricing and put a bid tabulation together for review
Prepare and submit final proposal with all required documentation
May negotiate pricing with supplier and offer substitute products where appropriate
Participate in product meetings, seminars, and training schools to enhance and maintain personal product knowledge
Meet with the team to discuss vendor strategy and margin levels
Establish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
In addition to processing bids, increase business by utilizing company digital tools to sell, promote, or demonstrate product knowledge to new and existing customers
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What You'll Need
2+ years of customer service, project management, or related experience preferred
Experience with electrical distribution, lighting, and controls, or adjacent industry preferred
High School or GED - Required
Engineering degree and experience are preferred.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong organizational skills
Product and application knowledge being developed
Customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, interpersonal skills, customer service, time management, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of computer skills, specifically with Excel/Outlook/Word, PDF editor (Blue Beam or Adobe) and appropriate quoting tools
Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with all project stakeholders
Ability to collaborate with sales team, customers, and vendors
Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be self-motivated and enthusiastic about business
Desire and aptitude to learn quickly with a growth mindset/self-improvement and continuous learning
