Job DescriptionElectrical Systems Technician BHS Corrugated is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Systems Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of industrial corrugating and production machinery at customer sites.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, experience with PLC-controlled equipment, and the ability to work independently while representing BHS Corrugated in the field. This role requires up to 75% travel and participation in after-hours support as needed.Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, service, and repair electrical and control systems on industrial machinery at customer facilities
Perform preventative maintenance, electrical calibrations, and warranty service interventions

Complete accurate timesheets and expense reports in a timely manner
Make own travel arrangements to customer sites
Follow engineering instructions, technical manuals, schematics, and documented work procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Technical/trade school certificate or Associate's degree preferred
Strong electrical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
Experience working with PLC-based control systems (Siemens S7 / TIA Portal preferred)
Understanding of industrial drives, servos, motors, and process control systems
Experience performing electrical troubleshooting and independent field service interventions
Ability to perform installations, calibrations, and preventative maintenance activities
Ability to learn and work with proprietary software systems
Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and communication
Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to work well with customers, subcontractors, and coworkers
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% of the time

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is labor intensive. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 100lbs on a rare basis. This position requires 90% of frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, overhead reaching, bending, squatting and prolonged standing and sitting. It requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. The position also involves great hand and eye coordination. Heights exceeding over 50 feet from time to time are normal to incur on a daily basis to maintain a crane. Employee will be required to travel from time to time (20 50%) and must be willing to work various shifts to accommodate needs of HCSG branches and customers. This includes on-call and overtime. Travel out of town may be required at the discretion of the company.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is normally performed inside or outside (pending customer requirements) with varying degrees of extreme hot and cold temperatures depending on the weather. During summer months, temperatures can exceed 120 degrees. This position will be frequently exposed to noise, heights, fumes, dust, and odors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
0 - 2 years of crane experience in an industrial facility
Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
Must always commit to working and driving safely
Must be willing to work off the ground at various heights

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is labor intensive. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a daily basis. Must be able to lift up to 100lbs on a rare basis. This position requires 90% of frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, overhead reaching, bending, squatting and prolonged standing and sitting. It requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling. The position also involves great hand and eye coordination. Heights exceeding over 50 feet from time to time are normal to incur on a daily basis to maintain a crane. Employee will be required to travel from time to time (20 50%) and must be willing to work various shifts to accommodate needs of HCSG branches and customers. This includes on-call and overtime.
