Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
3 years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Your Impact
You will be responsible for identifying and cultivating relationships with community partners in the Big Bend Hospice service area, organizing outreach to increase community awareness of BBH Services, and building brand awareness through ads, press releases, and stories. You will also recruit, train, supervise, and manage the performance of BBH Volunteers.
Your Main Duties and Responsibilities
(Includes but, not limited to)
Annual Marketing Plan and Outreach Strategies: Develop and implement outreach to targeted individuals, civic organizations, faith-based groups, and the community in the BBH service area to increase patient referrals and admissions.
Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate relationships with community partners in the BBH service area. Help increase community awareness of BBH services.
Media: Build and nurture working relationships to establish the organization as an expert resource in End-of-Life Care.
Social Media, Newsletters, Annual Reports: Helps to develop content for publications and social media to recognize volunteer and community relations contributions to the organization.
Recruitment: Develop a recruitment plan to market all volunteer opportunities and roles in the organization; host and attend recruiting events within the community to attract qualified volunteers. Interview and pre-screen potential volunteers.
Tech Savvy: Utilize spreadsheets, medical record systems, word processing, online meeting platforms, time tracking, Volgistics, and email.
Salary Range: $42,000 - $45,000 annually.

About this Position:
Our Registered Respiratory Therapists administer all therapeutic, diagnostic, and mechanical modalities under the purview of Respiratory Care Services, for which the Therapist has demonstrated appropriate proficiency, and has been documented as competent to perform these procedures. All of the criteria-based duties within this document will be performed according to established policies, procedures and guidelines within the department and the hospital. Responsibility for the delivery of Respiratory Care to patients of all age groups, to include all therapeutic treatments, oxygen therapy, arterial blood gas draws and analysis, ventilator management, and airway management. May assess staff blood gas competencies if qualified as a "Technical Consultant".
Our Registered Respiratory Therapist Critical Care team membersare ACCS or NPS certified and function as an expert in critical care areas (pediatric, neonatal and adult critical care). They are utilized as a resource for less experienced staff. In order to qualify for a Registered Respiratory Therapist Critical Care position, you must have at least 2 years of critical care experience in addition to an Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) or Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification as appropriate to population served/specialty.

Education:PharmD required or BS Pharmacy degree with equivalent and acceptable experience from a College of Pharmacy accredited by American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
Experience:Five years of professionally responsible pharmacist experience required for Bachelors degree holders. One year of recent inpatient hospital experience as staff pharmacist or pharmacy intern in a general medical/surgical hospital preferred for PharmD candidates.

Your Impact:
Music Therapist, you will provide patient care using solid musical skills and clinical understanding. Working with patients across our 8-county service area, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and documenting music therapy interventions with a diverse group of Hospice patients from various age groups and their family members. We are a team-oriented environment. Therefore, you will work as part of an interdisciplinary team and collaborate with other music therapy staff.
SCHEDULE: Flexible, pick-up hours based on your availability
(guaranteed hours during the months of June and July)
Your Main Duties and Responsibilities:
(Includes but is not limited to)
Proficiently utilize music therapy techniques to assist patient and family with the following: visual motor stimulation; pain, discomfort; anxiety, restlessness, respiratory difficulties, insomnia; depression, emotional outlet; loss of speech or language barrier; the need for meaningful activity; lack of support system, isolation; difficulty expressing feelings or interacting with others; the need for spiritual expression; anticipatory grief, multiple losses, etc.
Create a safe environment and mode of expression through music and therapeutic skills
Learn large amounts of music quickly for all ages spanning from newborn to geriatrics
Travel to off-site locations throughout all 8-counties in the Big Bend Hospice Service area providing care to patients in their homes, ALFs, nursing homes, and other facilities
Use a pleasant and soothing singing voice and play instruments (i.e., keyboard, guitar, etc.) regularly to provide patient care during each workday
Participate in assigned community events and bereavement groups; may require occasional evening and weekend hours
Submit detailed and accurate documentation through our Electronic Medical Records system (EMR)
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy or other bachelor's degree with Music Therapy equivalency through an American Music Therapy accredited program
Board Certified as a Music Therapist by CBMT
Must maintain board certification throughout employment
Strong musical skills and clinical understanding
Experience with and discipline-specific mastery of electronic medical record systems (EMR) and clinical documentation preferred
Ability to work PRN during regular business hours
Valid Driver's License, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation are required
1 - 2 years of career or professional Music Therapy experience preferred
Hospice experience preferred
