Maintain spare parts inventory, tools, and shop areas in an organized manner. Assist in winterization and seasonal startup of equipment. Fleet/Equipment Maintenance Service and repair ready-mix trucks, loaders, forklifts, and yard vehicles (brakes, hydraulics, suspension, PTOs, water pumps, drum rollers, etc.). Perform DOT-required inspections and keep accurate maintenance logs. Support drivers with on-site troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Preventative Maintenance Program Respond to breakdowns on job sites as needed. Order Parts and keep stock records for truck parts. Safety & Compliance Adhere to all company safety policies, OSHA, and environmental standards. Lock-out/tag-out equipment during maintenance. Immediately report hazards, near-misses, or defective tools/equipment. Ensure containment of oil and grease to prevent environmental violations. Administrative & Teamwork Maintain accurate service records for all plant equipment and fleet vehicles. Communicate equipment needs and status updates to the Plant Manager and dispatch team. Work collaboratively with production crews to schedule downtime and minimize disruption. Train new team members in basic maintenance and safety practices. Reports to: Building Principal and Supervisor of Career and Technical Education General Definition of Work: To teach a nursing assistant program that produces a well-rounded student with the necessary knowledge and skills to obtain employment upon the completion of the nursing assistant program. Essential Functions: Provides formal classroom instruction to Certified Nursing Assistant students (pre-clinical). Evaluates student performance and learning of theory. Supervises Certified Nursing Assistant students during clinical hours. Prepares and maintains accurate records of student's attendance and grades earned in both classroom and clinical practice. Participates and assists with curriculum development and revision, school activities, faculty meetings, county-wide teachers meetings and professional meetings at the hospital. Organizes the physical aspects of program including purchase of equipment, correspondence, recruiting, interviewing, writing policy, reports, records, and maintaining the office, classroom, and skills lab. Gives collective and individual guidance to students in the Nursing Assistant Program. Informs the public about the Nursing Assistant Program. Evaluates the entire program in regard to curriculum, policy, safety, and need. Reviews State Board Test results, and individual student's performance records. Keeps abreast of current nursing developments by reading professional literature, attending conferences and associates with others in the profession. Belongs to professional organizations. Self-evaluates to include methods of teaching, textbooks used, rotation plans. Keeps all records and documentation required by the Virginia Board of Nursing and VDOE. Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as apparent or assigned by the Building Administrator and the Supervisor of Career and Technical Education Education and Job Experience: At least 2 years of active practice as a registered nurse in the last 5 years or VDOE Teacher License Endorsement for Nursing. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, and paid time off. Job Responsibilities Proven experience as a carpenter. Mark cutting and assembly lines using pencils, chalk, and marking gauges. Shape materials to precise measurements using saws, chisels, planes, and related tools. Assemble cut and shaped materials using nails, dowels, pins, or adhesives. Verify structural integrity using levels, plumb bobs, and related tools. Install commercial window frames, doors, frames, weatherstripping, and interior/exterior hardware (locks, kick plates, letter drops, etc.). Perform restoration of wood cornices, doors, windows, and other wood components. Must be able to perform Dutchman repairs. Install restored architectural elements on site. Construct forms and chutes for concrete placement. Erect scaffolding and ladders for elevated work. Assist with tasks related to concrete and masonry as needed. Ability to work overtime when required. Projects are primarily located in Lexington, Virginia. Physical Requirements Dependable, reliable, and able to meet job responsibilities consistently.
