Brent Bellm is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman at BigCommerce. BigCommerce serves over 60,000 online stores in more than 120 countries.

Since joining BigCommerce, Brent has implemented a disruptive innovation strategy, transforming the company from a small business-focused solution to a leading open SaaS platform serving mid-market and large enterprise customers. BigCommerce is now recognized as a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave reports for B2C and B2B Commerce Suites and as one of 2019’s most successful companies in America by Inc. 5000.

Under Brent’s leadership, BigCommerce has consistently received accolades as a desirable workplace, winning awards such as Austin-American Statesman’s “Top Workplaces,” San Francisco Bay Area’s “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For,” and Great Place to Work’s “Best Places to Work in Australia.”

Prior to joining BigCommerce, Brent served as Chief Operating Officer and President at HomeAway during a period in which the company went public. Brent also spent more than nine years serving in a variety of executive leadership positions at PayPal and eBay, including global head of Product Management at PayPal and CEO of PayPal Europe, where he successfully introduced PayPal’s merchant services and financial products in new geographies.

Brent holds a BA in International Relations and Economics from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is an avid cyclist and runner and lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and three children.

As Chief Financial Officer, Robert Alvarez brings extensive experience in scaling and growing businesses, building passionate teams, fundraising, strategic planning, and business transactions, working with both public and privately held high growth technology companies.

Since joining BigCommerce in 2011, Robert has been instrumental in transforming BigCommerce from a small business solution to a comprehensive, industry-leading ecommerce platform for mid-market retailers, large enterprise segments, and businesses of all sizes across 120 countries.

Overseeing all facets of financial and operational strategy, Robert has guided BigCommerce through its IPO and private growth financing rounds with tier 1 institutional investors including General Catalyst, Revolution Growth, SoftBank, GGV Capital and Goldman Sachs.

Prior to BigCommerce, he led four high-growth, venture-backed startups through their exits, three of which were successfully acquired by large strategic public companies (Intel, Dell and RR Donnelley), with the fourth going public and reaching a market cap of more than $4 billion post IPO.

Robert has been recognized by Austin Business Journal as CFO of the Year, both in 2013 for his exemplary leadership at BigCommerce, as well as in 2011 while serving as CFO at LibreDigital.

Robert serves as a Board Member for Eterneva and the Austin Technology Counsel, an Advisory Board Member for Tiff’s Treats, and lives with his wife and three children in Austin, Texas.

Ben is the Chief Operating Officer of BigCommerce. He has more than 20 years experience in senior operations and finance roles at multi-billion dollar organizations including Amazon and Dell.

Brian is the Chief Technology Officer for BigCommerce. Prior to BigCommerce, he served as CTO at Borderfree, where he led all aspects of product and technology, and previously held senior leadership positions at Jetsetter, Gilt City and Best Buy.

Lisa has 20+ years experience scaling high growth companies with a focus on enterprise SaaS.In her multiple executive roles, she's been responsible for setting company vision and strategy; driving business performance through organic growth, global expansion and M&A and navigating corporate exits including IPO (Nasdaq: BV), LBO (Compass Group) and acquisition (to multi-national holding co. HAVAS, 5th largest agency in the world).She has been a strategic partner to the best known brands in the world including American Express, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Yahoo!, Dell and more and is an active independent board member. Pearson is known for building high performing teams including overachieving sales and client service teams, agile product and engineering orgs and strategic marketing functions. Her passion is building diverse teams and she is an in demand speaker on this topic.

Sherri Manning is the Chief People Officer at BigCommerce. She is a veteran HR professional, with more than two decades of experience leading HR in global Fortune 100, Fortune 500 and late stage start-ups.

At BigCommerce, Sherri has strategic oversight of the HR, facilities and administrative functions within the company. Under her guidance, BigCommerce launched a number of new leadership and managerial development programs for employees. In addition, Sherri helped institute corporate diversity and equity practices across recruiting, HR and compensation teams, and drove the recruiting efforts that helped the company’s headcount nearly double in size across five offices.

During her tenure, BigCommerce opened new offices in the U.K. and Singapore, and was recognized multiple times as a best place to work across the Austin, San Francisco and Sydney offices.

Over the course of her 20-year career, Sherri has held key leadership roles at ECG Management Consultant, IBM, Q2ebanking and UniversalPegasus International. She has also served in HR and management roles at Colgate Palmolive and Dell, and has served as a legislative analyst for the Oklahoma Senate.

Sherri holds a BA in Political Science from Phillips University; JD from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and the Queens College, Oxford University; and a LLM in International Business Law from Georgetown University Law Center. She currently lives in Austin, Texas with her family.
