Pipe Fitter Helper
Primary Purpose:
Lay out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and maintains piping and piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems, on basis of knowledge of system operation and study of building plans or working drawings.
Typical Duties:
* Selects type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications. Inspects worksites to determine presence of obstructions and to ascertain that holes will not cause structural weakness.
* Plans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workers.
* Cuts pipe, using hacksaw, pipe cutters, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine. Threads pipe, using threading machine, ends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending machine.
* Assembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipe and pipe fittings, including those made of brass, copper, lead, glass, and plastic. Joins piping by means of threaded, calked, wiped, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
* Secures pipes to structure with clamps, brackets, and hangers, using handtools. Installs and maintains refrigeration and air-conditioning systems including compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping.
* Tests piping system for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks.
Requirements:
* Workers should be able to: Work within precise standards of accuracy;
* Rate information using standards which can be measured or checked;
* Compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects; Look at flat drawings or pictures and understand how they would look as solid objects; and follow oral and written directions, plans, and blueprints.
* Physically, workers must be able to: See well (either naturally or with correction);
* Coordinate the movements eyes, hands and fingers; Use hands, arms, and fingers fully;
* Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding; Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required and lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds and occasionally more.

The Manager of Quality Assurance for IT is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a quality assurance environment and procedures to ensure successful release of developed or configured software applications used in the production of MITER products. This individual will lead a team of QA professionals, managing processes and team members to conduct quality assurance testing, and manage the day-to-day activities of the QA teams.
Responsibilities
Manages the day-to-day activities of the QA team, including scheduling, training, and evaluations.
Manages testing schedules, ensuring the QA team meets expectations and deadlines.
Oversees team members' work to ensure process and procedures are adhered to specifications.
Serves as a QA liaison across the IT Software Solution teams and collaborates with various IT team members (team leads, developers, business analysts, etc.) to complete software initiatives.

Reports test results to development staff and monitors correction and retest of all pre-production code.
Uses a change management tool to track tasks and assignments related to software implementations and modifications.
Maintains accurate log of all incidents as they pertain to a software release.
Performs software test processes for all code/software placed into the QA test environment to identify any software defects. Participates in integration testing, functionality testing, and regression testing.
Tests and validates business requirements and functional specifications have been accurately implemented into software applications. Identifies gaps between business/user requirements and software functionality.
Coordinate activities and manage assignments involving QA analysts, interns, etc.
Provides status reports regularly including established metrics and KPIs.
Develops, maintains, and executes formal written QA Release procedures. Provides governance and confirmation that the necessary testing has been successfully completed and code is ready to be released into the MITER production environments.
Identifies and recommends continuous improvement initiatives to increase team efficiencies and minimize defects in software applications and manufactured products.
Apply industry best practices and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
Practice and ensure change management standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all software changes via the company's change management system.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Technology or Business-related degree.
5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst in software development or computer related field.

Strong computer skills.

Lamination-Laborer is to assist the operator with machine setup. Also will cut scrap, foil and primer pads when needed. Load and unload parts from baskets and stack them on the table. Feed and cut parts going into and coming out of the machine. Follow the general instructions of the operator.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Loading and unloading of parts from baskets and/or trailers.
2. Trim and Wool (bulb) parts (with correct wool/bulb in correct slot).
3. Inspect quality before and after lamination.
4. Cut scrap when needed.
5. Cut and set primer pads, ensures proper coverage for the entire run.
6. Set drive and guide wheels.
7. Read and understand lamination schedules.
8. Count parts.
9. Distinguish types and color of foils.
10. Change glue on hot melt system when needed.
11. Clean and prep glue head.
12. Set up slitter and cut foil to correct sizes.
13. Able to read and understand lamination prints.
14. Work together as a team and communicate with each other.
15. Clean up after each run and prepare for the next.
16. Performs additional duties as assigned.
17. Adjust and control setting on lamination machine and melter.
18. Set up all the different profiles and make a good, finished product.
19. Troubleshoot and make adjustments when necessary.

Qualifications:

* Welds pipe and pipe assembly components of all kinds, sizes, and alloys, such as carbon steel and stainless steel using GTAW (TIG) and SMAW (Stick Rod) welding procedures.
* Inspects and maintains gas equipment, including changing gauges, repairing hoses, etc.
* Disconnects, removes, replaces, and connects oxygen and acetylene bottles.
* Works with different types and sizes of materials.
* Must be able to TIG and stick weld on stainless and/or carbon (pipe size and material welded varies per site).
* Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
* Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
* Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
* Load, transport, and unload tools, equipment, and supplies.
* Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of material and work pieces during assembly.
* Perform minor maintenance of cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
* Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.

* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in welding carbon and stainless.

Position Summary:
* Knowledge in bolt-up fitting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Tighten and loosen bolts and flange connections and manways as ISO drawings and work plan.
* Assist with installation/ removal blinds as needed for pressure testing purposes.
* Skill knowledge of pipefitting, bolts, valves etc are required.
* Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fitting etc.
* Perform minor maintenance of cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
* Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
* Perform other duties as requested.
Basic Qualifications:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in bolt-up fitter.
* Must be proficient in reading blueprint and isometric drawings.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills required.
* Willingness to travel.
* Must wear PPE in designated areas.
* Must be able to work at heights.
* Must be able to work under pressure.
* Must be able to work individually and in a team.
* Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements listed below in harsh and/or stressful conditions.
* Must be able to pass required training and pass a hair follicle.
* Must have a TWIC card.

Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
* Ability to reach with arms and use tools above/over the head.
* Ability to perform repetitive movements.
* Ability to use hands to grasp.
* Ability to stand (for extended periods of time), walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
* Ability to sit, balance and climb ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
* Ability to carry tools.
* Ability to move in and around confined and cluttered places and uneven areas.
* Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes.
* Vision adequate to perform all required tasks.
