Our healthcare security team is responsible for maintaining the security and safety for all at Billings Clinic which includes hospital staff, patients and visitors. Security Officers will be assigned specific areas of responsibility and are expected to deter illegal activities on hospital property while positively contributing to the overall patient experience through a customer service approach. The Billings Clinic Security Officers will provide an empathetic, safe approach to managing patient aggression and supervision of at-risk patients in the hospital environment.

Essential Job Functions

•Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.

•Protect staff, patients, visitors, and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace

•Ensure proper physical security is maintained at all locations of the Billings Clinic Campus

•Maintains and displays good public relations skills when interacting with visitors and staff

•Monitors entrances and exits during Emergency Management Situations to include Flood Control

•Prevents unapproved or unlawful entry in conjunction with Patients Plan of Care

•Assist Clinical staff in managing patient care through AEGIS taught applications

•Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities

•Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles

•Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment

•Transport or Escort Staff and Patients as needed

•Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

· High School or GED

Certifications and Licenses

· IAHSS Basic Certification completed within six (6) months of appointment.

· Must maintain valid Mt State Driver's License.

•Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements of the Montana Board of Private Security to be license as a Security Officer.

•Be able to pass a drug screen.

•Successfully pass a background check that includes personal references, DMV check criminal history, employment and education verification, and DMV check

SURGICAL SERVICES (Billings Clinic Main Campus)

In accordance with established policies and procedures, provides support services within the Surgery Center. Assists with preparation and cleaning of supplies, instruments, and equipment; ordering and stocking of supplies and transporting, transferring and positioning patients.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides support to other members of the team by obtaining and maintaining supplies, instruments, equipment, pharmaceuticals (excludes narcotics), positioning accessories, cleaning and processing instruments, scopes and equipment.

• Ensures appropriate cleaning procedures are maintained and followed. Cleans and maintains autoclaves, warmers, refrigerators.

• Assists with transporting, transferring and positioning patients.

• Performs errands to other departments as needed: laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, etc.

• Obtains and records pre and post operative vital signs. Charts and documents in medical record according to protocol

• Demonstrate ability to maintain appropriate monitoring records for process improvement and quality controls as assigned. Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality.

• Participates in orientation, training and/or precepting of new staff.

• Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory system and departmental requirements.

• Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance.

The Outpatient Pharmacist is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and delivery of quality pharmaceutical services in the outpatient pharmacy areas (community, specialty, LTC, etc). Work of the graduate pharmacist is conducted under the review and supervision of the registered pharmacist.

Essential Job Functions

• Accurately reviews and verifies prescriptions. Clarifies questionable prescriptions, correctly documents all clinical interventions, and displays clinical judgement.

• Accurately, safely, and properly prepares or supervises the preparation of all non-sterile compounded and reconstituted products.

• Controls the distribution of controlled substances and dangerous drugs as required by state and federal regulations.

• Assists in the training and orientation of new employees and students. Aids, provides direction, and supervision of support of support staff.

• Actively manages inventory including daily medication orders, out of stock issues, substitutions, medication shortages and PAR levels.

• Proficient in use of and able to trouble shoot issues related to all pharmacy software systems.

• Acts as a drug information resource to healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers. Participates in the educational needs of all customers.

• Serves as a resource for pharmacy students, residents, and technician students.

• Maintains competency in processing and trouble-shooting third-party adjudication and reconciliation.

• Participates in process improvement and identifies ways to improve processes and patient care.

• Performs other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

• Participates in institutional and community efforts to promote public health and the practice of Pharmacy.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Successful graduation from an accredited college of Pharmacy.

Certifications and Licenses

• Current license as an intern pharmacist with the Montana State Board of Pharmacy

• Eligibility to be licensed in Montana as a registered pharmacist within three (3) months of hire

Under general supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care/treatment and provides clerical and administrative support. Works collaboratively with the Physician, Non-Physician Provider, RN and other departmental personnel to meet the physical, psychosocial, educational, and spiritual needs of the patient and family.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.

• Prepares room, equipment and supplies as dictated by a particular examination, patient's needs, and Billings Clinic exam and procedure room cleaning guidelines.

• Assists with scheduling admissions, appointments, diagnostic tests, treatments, procedures, and surgery. May assist with registration and/or collection of co-pays.

• Screens incoming telephone calls for appropriate referrals to nurse, physician and/or non-physician provider.

• Orders and maintains clinical and office supplies and equipment as directed.

• Maintains patient files, records and other information. Adheres to confidentiality requirements.

• Compiles statistical data for reports as directed.

• Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.

• Receives and prepares patient for examination and treatment as directed. Obtains and records history and vital signs. May assist in preparing for minor procedures and physical exams. Charts and documents in medical record. Collects laboratory specimens as needed.

• Cleans and disinfects equipment per Billings Clinic sterile processing guidelines.

• Administers influenza vaccine, pneumococcal vaccines, and Td/TDAP to patients age 18 or older.

• Provides instruction to patients as directed by physician, non-physician provider or documented in policies and procedures.

• Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

• Additional Essential Functions for Level II and III - Refer to Department Grid

• Assists physicians and non-physician providers in preparing for minor procedures and physical exams.

• Performs minor procedures to include but not limited to stitch and staple removal, application of dressings, ear lavage, splints and casts, etc.

• Administers medications and immunizations according to department approved grid and guidelines; once department requirements and required training have been met.

• Additional Essential Functions for Level III - Refer to Department Grid

• Administers medications and immunizations according to department approved grid and guidelines, which may include pediatric patients; once department requirements have been met.

The Ophthalmic Technologist is responsible for providing collaborative medical support to the ophthalmology providers .

Essential Job Functions

• Receives and prepares patients for the physician visit including taking medical history, checking and recording visual acuity and recording vital signs. Charts and documents in medical record per protocol.

• Performs technical testing to include but not limited to Lensometry, Keratometry, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Heidelberg Retinal Tomography (HRT), Visual Fields, Potential Acuity Meter, Tonometry and A-Scans. Performs basic maintenance and cleaning for various testing equipment.

• May be expected to do contact lens insertion and removal training.

• Answer multi-line departmental telephones and triages calls. Provides instructions to patients based on developed parameters. Triages calls to appropriate provider and/or department.

Supply Chain Operations Purchasing Agents are responsible for representing all departments of Billings Clinic in a dynamic fast paced environment where change is the norm, not the exception. They take pride and ownership in providing exceptional customer service. The Purchasing Agent is responsible for placing orders for materials, equipment, products or services and inventory control for Billings Clinic, branch sites and/or managed/affiliate facilities. The purchasing agent makes recommendations for effective and efficient inventory management based on trending and historical practices to include, but not limited to; par levels, substitute recommendations, purchasing processes, and census capacity. This position will rotate through the entire job functions listed below and will perform clerical and administrative tasks as needed for support of the department and the organization.

Essential Job Functions

• Supports and models behaviors consistent with the mission and philosophy of Billings Clinic and department/service.

•Creates and submits purchase orders for supplies, equipment and services. Ensures orders do not become delinquent. Assists departments in completing purchase requests. (Resource Management, Supply Chain, Purchase Requests)

•Reviews GPO contracts and verifies required purchase order information to include price and terms (Resource Management, Supply Chain, GPO Contracts)

•Reviews capital requests for accurate content and adherence to policies. Obtains quotes and performs quote review and analysis. Tracks financial accruals to avoid over expenditures per capital. Reviews MD Buyline reports and is able to accurately discuss results with customers and SCO Leadership (Resource Management, Supply Chain, Capital Requests)

•Designs and implements product standardization and inventory control strategies to enhance distribution, minimize supply utilization, reduce inventory and obsolescence. (Resource Management, Supply Chain, Inventory Control)

•Ensures availability of quality product and equipment and avoidance of shortages. Plans and organizes the special order supplies. (Resource Management, Supply Chain, Product Availability)

•Recommends development, revisions and implementation of standards for purchasing of supplies and equipment. Coordinates approved changes. (Resource Management, Supply Chain, Equipment Purchasing)

•Participates in department and hospital committees to ensure that value, quality and cost containment goals are met. core

•Compiles statistical reports on purchasing activities. (Administrative, Data Analyses, Statistics)

•Generates reports on product consumption, par level compliance, etc; documents supply cost savings and/or cost expenses with appropriate justifications. (Resource Management, Reporting, Generates Reports)

•Reads and reviews purchase requests and assigns proper general ledger codes to purchases. (Resource management, Accounting, Assigns General Ledger Codes)

•Resolves invoice discrepancies. Expedites and arranges for credit, return or replacement of defective or damaged items. (Customer Services, External Customers, Invoice Discrepancies)

•Creates and maintains Supply Chain Operations information system master files in direct coordination with Supply Chain Operations Informatics Analyst. (Resource Management, Supply Chain, SCO IS Systems)

•Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.

•Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance.

•Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

High school graduate

Experience

•Prior purchasing , warehousing, distribution, shipping and receiving or data entry experience is preferable

•Data Entry 75-100 SPM, testing documentation required

•Basic Excel proficiency with an overall score of 50%, testing documentation required

•Two (2) years of college in related field, preferred

•2 Two (2) years purchasing experience, preferred

The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing all duties in the kitchen and cafeteria during patient and employee meal services. The Nutrition Services Assistant is flexible and knowledgeable in all preparation of the meals using a therapeutic menu, standardized recipes and exchange lists for consistent products in accordance with Physician and/or Dietitian recommendations to meet dietary requirements of each patient.
