Basic Function
Under supervision, process screen products to meet the requirements of the customer.
Responsibilities
Must be able to operate various machines on the production floor. Some specialization may be necessary.
Must be able to perform daily and weekly maintenance on machines as outlined on each machine.
Must be able to properly use gauges and standards to ensure product quality, identifying concerns and bringing them to the attention of a supervisor.
Must be able to accurately read workorders.
Must be able to accurately fill out NCR, maintaining a record of material and time related to a workorder.
Must be able to maintain a clean work space.
Must know and abide by all safety rules.
Must be able to process work through assigned machine at a pace that is in accordance to the cycle times of the assigned work order while maintaining high product quality.
Must display proficiency and accuracy in the proper use of Enginius for tracking accurate labor time while working.
Must be able to use packaging tools such as a bander and tape gun.
Must know how to find the head and faceplate
Must know what wire guides to use
Must be able to run the lathe to dress wheel
Must have some knowledge of splicing
Must know the difference between bad/good product
Must know the different wire profiles and different materials
Must be able to set up machines
Must be able to load programs and make offset adjustments.
Must be able to use various measuring tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
Must display knowledge and understanding of machineoperation details such as set up and dressing wheel and effects of wheel dullness, and splicing wire.
Operator must have good attendance and be noted as diligent and reliable. Communication needed time to be off.
Must be well organized, have good math skills, and computer skills.
Must know how to operate rod cutter. (Small Diameter)
Must possess an attitude of promoting safety, quality, production.
Must be proficient with our systems. Being able to navigate jobs, clocking in/out of them with the understanding of issuing and receiving material with knowing the difference.
Must know how to use systems for maintenance request and ordering material.
Operator must have good attendance and be noted as diligent and reliable.
Qualifications
High School Education or equivalent, two year degree preferred

Experience with metal working, especially mild and stainless steel
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Summary: The Assistant Press Operator assists the Press Operator and Lead Press operator in the basic setup and maintenance of the presses verifying proper paper sheet sizes and types. They are also responsible for ensuring that all presses are supplied and fed with required quantities of paper and other consumables.
Schedule:
3rd shift, Sunday - Thursday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM, or similar. Training may occur at other times.
Salary Range: $19.00 To 25.00 Hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Checks paper sheet size/type etc., and verify materials required
Assists with managing the preparation of next jobs to be printed
Assist with press maintenance tasks and cleaning
Support the Lead Press Operator by completing tasks as directed to keep the press running
Actively remove waste items for recycling
Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and is free of safety hazards
Report workplace hazards to management immediately
Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
Report all work related injuries, illnesses, and/or near misses to management immediately
Keep all work area/station in compliance with our housekeeping guidelines
Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
Maintain departmental housekeeping standards, such as keeping floors swept and absent of debris that may be a work hazard
Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Attend all department/company meetings

Work is performed while standing. The employee is required to use fingers and hands to trim the frames using appropriate tools. The employee is regularly required to lift and move boxes with an average weight of 40 lbs. but a maximum weight of 50 lbs. The employee is regularly required to work with or around oils, coolants, and cleaning solutions. Personal safety protective equipment is required.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to an indoor climate controlled and team environment with strong training and support structure. All machines have machine guarding as well as strict safety practices.

This position is a 12-hour Night shift 7:00pm- 7:00am- Swing shift
This position requires the ability to (this is not a complete job description):
Essential Job Functions:
Trim, lift, and stack rubber mats
Comply with all safety processes and procedures for safe operation of the machinery and equipment
Perform housekeeping and basic equipment maintenance tasks requiring the use of hand tools such as wrenches (Socket and Allen), saws-all, belt seamers/iron, utility knives, push knives, scrapers, air hoses, brooms, shovels, squeegees, shop vacs, Dennison guns and wooden paddles
Assist with machine preventive maintenance, mold changes and material changeovers
Work within a team setting and be cross trained to perform all essential job duties within the team
Meet or exceed all performance and productivity standards including working safely, maintaining acceptable quality levels and achieving desired standard output levels
Perform other assignments as requested or as business needs required
Qualifications:
Experience performing light maintenance on equipment such as filter changes, administering inspection checklists, using tools, assisting maintenance associates
Maintaining regular and predictable attendance
Complying with company processes and procedures
Following verbal and written instructions
Ability to work rotating 12-hour schedules including every other weekend and all applicable holidays on your rotation schedule and OT as required
Demonstrated attitude of safety and quality as top priorities
