Job Responsibilities
Summary of Position:
Maintenance Technicians will repair/maintain all production/facility equipment and perform project work. This position requires a high regard for safety at all times in performing any tasks associated with working for Harris Products Group.
This person will work safely and supports safety within their team across the organization. Completes weekly maintenance schedule and makes safe, quality & timely repairs to ensure weekly production schedule is completed. Supports lean initiatives to facilitate team goals/metrics. Participates in team meetings and works on cost savings projects.
Responsibilities:
Completes weekly maintenance schedule
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment
Schedule repairs of equipment
Performs fabrication, pipe fitting, welding, brazing & soldering
Operates material handling equipment, scissor lift and manipulating man lift when needed
Works on team projects, Six Sigma projects and provides support for other team meetings and projects.
Correctly fills our work orders and time sheets
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
Required -
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Good trouble shooting skills in mechanical and pneumatic systems for production machinery and support equipment.
Able to read and understand mechanical and pneumatic prints
Must be computer literate
Operate material handling equipment, scissor lift and manipulating man lift
Preferred-
Experienced in welding, fabricating and pipe fitting.
Experience with Lean tools
Able to read and understand electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints
Understand ladder logic for relays and PLCs
Familiar with Allen Bradley PLCs, SLC, Micro Logix and Control Logix
Familiar with Logix 500, Logix 5000 and RSLinx
Familiar with operation of HMIs (touch screens)
Be able to install and set up AC & DC drives
Familiar with NEC as applies to Industrial applications

We are seeking a dynamic Pellet Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations in our pellet production facilities. This role oversees both unionized and non-unionized teams, ensuring equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 19 maintenance technicians
Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and foster positive labor relations
Conduct performance evaluations and support career development
Collaborate with HR and union representatives on staffing and grievance processes
Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs using CMMS (e.g., EPAC)
Manage maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and utility systems
Monitor and improve metrics: equipment uptime, PM compliance, maintenance costs, safety incidents
Manage spare parts inventory and procurement
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies
Maintain documentation for water treatment, wastewater, and environmental permits
Lead safety audits, root cause analyses, and corrective actions
Ensure technician training in LOTO, PPE, chemical safety, and SDS protocols
Collaborate with Production, QA, and Engineering to meet operational goals
Participate in plant leadership and strategic planning meetings
Lead projects to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize costs
Implement lean maintenance practices and support capital improvements
Maintain and update SOPs and training materials
Qualifications
Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (required); Bachelor's degree (preferred)
Minimum 5 years of maintenance leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment
Experience managing in a unionized setting (preferred)
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems
Proficiency in CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

About the Role
As the National Preventative Maintenance HVAC Manager, you'll develop and oversee nationwide preventative maintenance programs for HVAC systems, manage budgets, lead a team of technicians, and ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. Provide wiring schematic support and share controls expertise for all HVAC brands serviced by BGIS.

Qualifications Experience
5-8 years of hands-on experience performing HVAC technician duties in installation and service.

Experience with diagnostics, repairs, and multi-site operations.
Certifications
EPA Universal Certification (required).
Valid HVAC Journeyman License (preferred).

• Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance metrics such as Schedule Attainment, Preventive Maintenance Completion (PMC) and Preventive Maintenance On Time Completion (PMoC) in alignment with the Presrite Strategic Asset Management Program
• Build up and maintain clear communication and close co-operation with all relevant internal stakeholders (plant staff, corporate Maintenance, Automation and Reliability Managers, engineering) and external Stakeholders (including customers)
• Generate and implement ideas that improve safety, quality, and cost indicators, in line with investment & service goals.
• Ensure maximum plant availability through the implementation and use of established reliability principles and optimal asset management as spelled out in the Presrite Strategic Asset Management Program
• Responsible for equipment maintenance (Presses, Furnaces, Conveyors, etc.), and the overall building and facilities maintenance (Reliability, Performance, Cost)
• Responsible to manage a team of Maintenance Technicians
• Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety procedures
• Attains and Maintains CMRP Certification.
• All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Management or related field; or technical certification in combination with work experience.
· Minimum of 10 years Industrial Maintenance experience; at least 3 years experience in a maintenance leadership role, with experience in preventive maintenance, CMMS, and troubleshooting preferred. Experience leading teams and performing predictive and preventive maintenance is required.
· CMRP certification is desired.
· Demonstrated proficiency in creating and working with documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.
· Adherence to policies, procedures, and work instructions.
· Ability to collaborate with diverse work groups and floor associates.
· Excellent time management and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
