1872

Binswanger Glass, originally founded in 1872, is headquartered in Memphis, TN, with over 50 locations in Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Texas.

1923

In 1923, a second branch was opened in Houston.

1945

As he returned to civilian life in 1945, Frank started a new tradition.

1947

Dealer cost for top quality folding attic stairs was $69! When Binswanger Glass celebrated its 75th anniversary in 1947, there were 13 branches in 15 southern and southwestern states.

1956

Being nimble and aggressive, the company seized the opportunity and created the Southern Division in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1956.

1978

Garcia founded the Gateway Companies in 1978 specializing in general contracting and real estate development.

1983

In 1983, Binswanger established a global partnership with Auguste-Thouard and Edward Erdman.

1984

Through partnerships in 1984, Binswanger was the first company to establish partnerships through all of Latin America including smaller markets in Peru, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

2008

In 2008, Binswanger-Gateway was formed as a strategic alliance to enhance existing market coverage in Florida and to strengthen Binswanger’s reach into Latin America.

2018

After more than eight decades of family ownership, in July of 2018, the company expanded its ownership group to include many talented and highly motivated employee partners to further focus on providing superior industrial and commercial brokerage and consulting services globally.
