The Department of Art History at Oberlin College invites applications for the Clarence Ward and Ellen B. Weiss '57 Postdoctoral Fellowship in Modern Architectural History, a full-time non-continuing faculty position in the College of Arts and Sciences. Initial appointment to this position will be for a term of two years [4 semesters], beginning fall 2026. Agreement between the department and the incumbent can renew the position for a third year as Visiting Assistant Professor of Modern Architectural History. One of these will be an introductory survey course which must include material prior to the twentieth century. The other will be at the intermediate or advanced level, on a topic of the candidate's choice. This teaching load is intended to provide time for the postdoctoral fellow to research and write, as well as take advantage of the Department's and the College's support for pedagogical, scholarly, and professional development. AV has an opportunity available for a full-time research scientist to work with the Polymer and Responsive Materials Research Team at Wright Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB), OH. The candidate will be responsible for the design and synthesis of 2D conjugated polymers, such as Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs), for optoelectronic applications.
