Every Other Weekend Disinfecting/Cleaning Hospital Equipment Tech

We have an opportunity for the right candidate to join our growing company as an Equipment Sterilization Technician. This person will deliver clean, disinfected medical equipment to designated locations in our customer's healthcare facility. You will make rounds to pick up soiled medical equipment from designated locations in the facility, perform a thorough cleaning/disinfecting process to prepare the equipment for patient use, then return the equipment back into service. You will also track the location of the equipment using operating software.
We are looking for a part time technician in the NICU for every other weekend in Akron, OH. Hours are flexible, but it would be a morning shift every other Saturday and Sunday. Part time employees are eligible for holiday pay and our 401K option plan. We offer competitive pay rates for our part time staff.

Daily Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the manager, you are responsible to make rounds, pick up and clean/disinfect certain medical equipment from designated departments within an Akron healthcare facility. You will tag and return cleaned equipment to the designated areas.
Responsibilities include:
Following the manufacturer's and the facility's protocols for cleaning and disinfecting equipment
Following proper handling and transport protocols of soiled and cleaned medical equipment
Promptly delivering processed equipment to departments upon request
Promptly responding to supply requests
Using departmental software
Appropriately performing duties in accordance with the healthcare facility's Infection Control Policies and Procedures
Following a schedule for making rounds
Tracking equipment in inventory, in utilization status and location.
Keeping accurate electronic records
Leaving the work area clean and clear of soiled equipment, and following the departmental protocols when it is necessary to leave the equipment for the next shift
Maintaining the work areas to keep a clean, orderly appearance

Equipment Specialist
North Canton, OH
The Pharmacy Equipment Specialist plays a vital role on the Absolute Pharmacy team, overseeing the complete lifecycle of pharmacy equipment maintenance and service, with a primary focus on medication carts. The Pharmacy Equipment Specialist is dedicated to ensuring that all pharmacy equipment across contracted facilities remains safe, functional, and readily available-while delivering outstanding technical support and customer service. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform hands-on maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of pharmacy equipment, with a primary focus on medication carts.
Respond promptly and professionally to routine, non-routine, and emergency repair requests.
Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule to support emergency equipment needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Work closely with the Customer Service Department to report and document equipment issues and completed repairs.
Source and order parts as needed, prioritizing cost efficiency and obtaining management approval.
Oversee the delivery, setup, and installation of pharmacy equipment at customer locations.
Coordinate the recovery and return of equipment as needed
Monitor incoming equipment orders for accuracy, quality, and completeness.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized storage and workshop areas, including inventory of carts and parts.
Build and maintain professional, respectful relationships with facility staff, management, and residents while working on-site.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to Stat Safe electronic contingency boxes.
Deliver and install pharmacy fax machines as required.
Maintain accurate equipment inventory using Smartsheet.
Log service notes and updates in HubSpot.
Utilize Smartsheet to manage equipment removals and follow established checklists during facility closeouts.
Coordinate truck rentals for equipment moves and ensure proper documentation (e.g., passport if applicable).
Support additional equipment moves as needed, including tradeshows, event setups (e.g., grills, displays), and other pharmacy-related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
Previous experience in medication cart repair and maintenance strongly preferred.
Mechanical aptitude or experience working with tools strongly preferred.
Eagerness to learn new technical and logistical skills.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize multiple tasks.
Basic computer skills required for documentation, communication, and inventory tracking.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Willingness to travel to various nursing facilities and participate in an on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to take direction.
Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Equipment Technician - Emergency Department
Akron, OH
Part-time, 16 Hours/week Monday - Friday, 5AM - 1:30PM - Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation Onsite Akron, OH - Emergency Department The Equipment Technician maintains unit-based equipment and supplies at appropriate par levels. Responsibilities:
1. Works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, with the support of the Clinical Coordinator or designee.
2. Provides support to a nursing unit by maintaining unit-based equipment and supplies at appropriate par levels.
3. Inspects and receives all incoming supplies, and distributes to proper storage location in a timely manner.
4. Checks and ensures stock rotation and expiration dates.
5. Maintains Par levels, makes recommendations to the Unit Manager for adjustment to Pars based on utilization data.
6. Enters requisition orders in the hospital computer system.
7. Performs charge entry and other duties as assigned or requested.
8. Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
9. Completes routine quality checks on equipment, may set up specific equipment after competency training, assist with room turnovers; maintains room stock levels, orders supply and equipment from central stores; and assists with inventory management; and other duties as required.
10. Other duties as required.

Technical Expertise
1. Experience using general mechanical skill, ability to understand medical terminology and relate it to the equipment and supplies is required.
2. Experience as an EMT or Medical Assistant training is preferred.
3. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
4. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
5. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
