Matt Ronet was appointed to Lumileds CEO October 20202. Roney most recently served as President of Lumileds’ Automotive Business Unit. Jim is a senior Executive, CEO, Board Member and "parallel" serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the Class I, II, and III medical device industry. Jim formed Boulder BioMed, Boulder iQ and Boulder Sterilization to accelerate the commercialization of medical devices. Although he still owns and is on the board of directors of the Boulder companies, Jim as taken on an operational role as CEO of one of Boulder IQ's clients, EndoShape, Inc.Among his accomplishments are raising more than $14 million for early stage companies, the development of several unique implantable medical devices in vascular, orthopedic, otolaryngology, ophthalmic, and bariatric fields. Jim has been responsible for creating and successfully executing strategies in product and market development, and has built engineering, research, and sales and marketing organizations. These activities have resulted in more than 40 U.S. and international patents and dozens of scientific publications. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics, a Master of Science degree in chemical/biological engineering from the University of Colorado and a Masters of Business Administration.Jim is also a former Hawaii Ironman competitor, a NTRP 4.5 tennis player, competitive trail runner, expert telemark skier and avid mountain bike enthusiast.
