Schedule 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday, 12:00am (midnight)-8:00am (LP: 11:00pm-7:00am) Additional hours may be possible during the week or weekend on a voluntary or required basis Areas of Accountability All areas of accountability to be delivered with GRIT - our values of Generosity, Relationships, Integrity, and Teamwork Operate Production Equipment Load and Unload Materials Sanitation & Quality Compliance Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate production equipment to transform raw materials into a high-quality pet food ingredient Continuously inspect raw and finished materials using FOSS machines and/or visual and olfactory senses to ensure product quality Operate skid-steers or forklifts to move large materials and equipment Operate automatic yard trucks to move raw material trailers to unloading bays for processing Assist in unloading and loading raw materials and finished product Inspect trailers for usability and notify Complex Manager if repairs are needed. Greet external truck drivers and direct and assist them in backing up and unloading their trailers Complete paperwork for each loaded and unloaded trailer Accurately record data and complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner; determine and report inconsistencies Clean, foam, use pressure hoses, and sanitize work area, equipment, tools, and totes Squeegee excess water from the production floor and shovel waste materials into garbage Perform minor preventative maintenance duties including switching out hydraulic lines, grinder blades, etc.; report major repair needs to maintenance and/or Complex Manager Learn and follow all standard operating procedures for processing, sanitation, safety, and quality Follow all company safety policies, practices, procedures, and improvement initiatives Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements including environmental and food safety Report any concerns, accidents, downtime, or cost-saving measures to Complex Manager, as needed Maintain positive relationships with others and assist other production or maintenance personnel, as necessary Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean work environment, as needed Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. This position will travel regularly into the community and work in a variety of settings both inside and outside the site and throughout the community. The House Supervisor is subject to frequent interruptions, crisis management, and imposed deadlines. This person sits, walks, bends, lifts, reaches, and moves intermittently during working hours.
