Pros of working at Birmingham Public Schools
The pros of working for Birmingham Public Schools were the helpful public school staff and the amazing non-public schools in which I worked. I have never worked with better leadership, such wonderful staff members, polite and hard working children, and involved parents.

I was supervised by the kindest woman who helped me through the many differences between public and non-public schools in spite of my 37 years experience working as a speech pathologist in schools.
How would you improve Birmingham Public Schools's culture?
There was nothing to improve.
How did you prepare for the Birmingham Public Schools interview?
The interview was not difficult because the supervisor was so kind and welcoming. She did not rush my answers and her questions were specific. In terms of preparation, if, after 37 years of practice, I do not know answers to questions, that is not good.

Pros of working at Birmingham Public Schools
Co workers and fine arts students were the reasons I came committed myself daily. It never failed for those individuals to put a smile on my face and determination in my heart.
Cons of working at Birmingham Public Schools
Administration did not have the best intrest of the students. It was very difficult to teach state and National Music standards due to scheduling band students around academies and athletics.
Birmingham Public Schools benefits
The abundance of children willing to learn. Enjoyed teaching Private and group lessons. I also enjoyed preparing students for State Assessment yearly.
