Marisol Flores Aguirre is a Chief Executive Officer at Bitch Media and is based in Tucson, Arizona. Currently, Dionne is the senior editor at Bitch Media.Her highly-shareable reported features, cultural criticism, and personal essays have appeared in multiple digital and print publications, including The New York Times, Self Magazine, Teen Vogue, Refinery29, Complex Magazine, Harper's Bazaar, Bustle, xoJane, UPTOWN Magazine, and The Root. She's also served as digital editor of Clutch Magazine, where she wrote and edited viral articles and grew the publication's readership.Dionne's work is widely-shared on social media, where she garners hundreds of retweets as well as Facebook shares. For instance, an essay she wrote about contracting HPV after taking the Gardasil vaccination was shared from her professional Facebook page more than 13,000 times and reached almost 150,000 readers.Dionne is also a Black Feminist media studies scholar who examines Black female sexuality, pleasure and power in media texts like television shows and hip-hop music videos. She recently published book chapters about Beyoncé's self-titled album and Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse. She is a 2012 Summa Cum Laude, valedictorian graduate of Bennett College where she earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies (concentration in Electronic Media and Broadcast). Dionne also earned a Master's of Science in Media Management with a graduate certificate in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
