Bizerba Usa Inc history

On the 7th November he registers his own small company as „A. Bizer, Manufacturer of Weighbridges, Table Top Scales and Beam Balances“. On the 19th November 1868 Andreas Bizer marries Elisabetha Wagner from Balingen.

The design, one of great historical importance, is patented in 1925 and becomes indispensable to the trade and quickly replaces the time-consuming method of balancing goods against standard weights.

With self-service stores looming on the horizon, Bizerba introduces the heat seal label in 1960 as its first labelling solution.

Originally launched in 1981 as the first fully electronic shop scales, the product becomes the Alphamatic, Bizerba’s first system scales.

Bizerba E 2000, the electronic shop scales, with “intelligence” is winner of the Scales of the Year award.

Professor Wilhelm Kraut hands over his private collection of weighing scales to the town of Balingen which establishes the “Museum für Waage und Gewicht” (Museum for Weights and Scales) in the Zollernschloss (Zollern Castle). In 2005 it is greatly extended to provide more rooms for new exhibits.

Bizerba continues its dynamic growth by acquisition of the companies Luceo (optical inspection technology) and Helf (label production). In the year 2014, Bizerba has generated a record sales of more than 500 Million Euro.
