Additional mergers in 1994 with Missouri Baptist Health System and the St Louis Children’s Hospital Network garnered national attention for BJC and its unique mix of community, rural and research-based services.
Beginning in 1996, BJC HomeCare began the process of consolidating 11 certified home care agencies, five hospices, one home medical equipment service and three private duty agencies.
In 1999, Siteman Cancer Center was established by the generous donation of Alvin and Ruth Siteman at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine.

Alton Memorial Hospital celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2012.
The Christian Hospital/Northwest HealthCare Emergency Department received the 2012 Emergency Medicine Award from HealthGrades for excellence across the board, based on patient outcomes, and ranked among the top 263 hospitals out of 5,000 nationally.
Today, the program is one of the world’s largest, with surgeons completing more than 1,280 lung transplants as of July 2013.
St Louis Children’s Hospital was named a 2013 St Louis Post-Dispatch Top Workplace, ranking 10th among large employers in the metropolitan area.
By 2016, the Signorelli family was operating 16 schools in both St Louis and Colorado.
From 13, its staff grew to 26 by 2016 and donations were coming in from many sources: 5 percent from corporations, 9 percent from planned gifts, 16 percent from other foundations, and 71 percent from individuals.
