Summary of Position: Blach Construction is seeking a versatile and proactive IT Project Specialist to join our collaborative and agile IT team. This hybrid role blends hands-on IT project management with first- and second-level technical support, Microsoft Exchange administration, and business systems support. The ideal candidate will be energized by working across multiple functional areas-including Construction Operations, HR, Finance, and Preconstruction-while helping to implement technical solutions and provide outstanding user support. The role requires strong organizational skills, service orientation, and the ability to manage both structured projects and urgent day-to-day needs. Typical Duties:
Project Implementation (≈50 %)
Lead or coordinate technology projects across construction, finance, HR, safety, and jobsite support.
Perform requirements gathering, scope definition, risk identification, scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination, UAT, and go-live execution.
Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates to IT leadership and stakeholders.
Deliver end-user training, SOPs, and support transition plans.
Document any common ongoing technical support and maintenance
SSO and SCIM configuration experience
API Integrations
Help Desk & End‑User Support (≈30 %)
Provide Tier 1-2 technical support for a Windows/Office 365 environment, desktop setup, Zoom, and SaaS platforms; manage incidents through Freshdesk with adherence to SLAs.
Cloud File Server administration and management (Egnyte)
Troubleshoot issues, ensure timely resolution, and continuously improve service quality.
Follow escalation protocols for unresolved incidents and participate in rotating support coverage as needed.
Printer fleet management (troubleshooting, setup, and move requests)
Onboarding and Offboarding
Microsoft Exchange / M365 Administration (≈15 %)
Manage Microsoft Exchange Online: mailbox provisioning, distribution lists, retention policies, spam/phishing protections, and admin portal settings.

Technical Interface & Systems Support (≈5 %)
Serve as a liaison between business teams and IT to translate operational needs into technical tasks.
Provide systems and administrative support for platforms including CMiC, Egnyte, ManageEngine, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Verkada, and Palo Alto Networks.
Experience with Power Apps for data visualization and analysis
Maintain internal knowledge base content and participate in IT documentation and SOP development.
Skills/Qualifications:
Education & Certifications - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred). CompTIA A+ or Network+ required; ITIL v4 or PMP/CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certification is a plus.
Experience - 1-3 years in a hybrid IT project and support role. Proven ability to manage projects and support services in a mid-sized company environment (150-500 users).
Technical Skills - Proficient with Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online administration. Familiar with Windows OS, Active Directory, basic networking, SaaS management, and mobile device support. Prior experience with construction-industry platforms (CMiC, Autodesk Construction Cloud) and experience supporting ERP, HRIS, or Project Management systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of ITIL concepts (Incident, Change, and Problem Management) and Exposure to IT security standards and vendor compliance practices are recommended.

The Compensation & Retirement - COE Solution Specialist is a pivotal role to ensure the total rewards programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. Supervisory Responsibilities
* Mentor and manage Structural Designers I, Structural Designers II, Structural Design Engineers, and Structural Project Engineers.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage the production of drawings, specifications, and calculations during a project's design phase life cycle from conceptual design to completion of construction documents.
* Review deliverables to ensure the scope and quality standards are met throughout project's life cycle.
* Develop a comprehensive plan that defines the project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines. This involves collaborating with the design and construction teams to assess structural requirements and estimating the necessary resources.
* Manage the completion of various construction administration tasks, such as, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFIs, and making site visits.
* Oversee and be responsible for the development of structural designs and analytical models for various building types and materials.
* Perform and/or review calculations and analyses to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes and regulations. Working knowledge of all relevant codes.
* Utilize CAD software, including Tekla Structures, and other tools to create 2D drawings and 3D models.
* Manage team members, including engineers, modelers and detailers, to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality design solutions within budget. This involves assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring effective collaboration and communication among team members.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders such as architects, contractors, and MEP designers.
* Manage project design meetings to achieve project objectives. Some responsibilities may include setting agendas, taking notes, and providing meeting minutes.
* Stay updated with industry trends, code updates, and advancements in structural design techniques and technologies by actively participating in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in structural engineering and project management.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost optimization, and efficiency enhancement, and help implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement within the company.

Summary of Position: As a key team member, the Project Engineer Intern is responsible for working with their Project Team(s) to plan and coordinate the successful execution of required project documentation, as well as assist the Project Manager and Project Engineer to ensure that the quality, safety, schedule, and cost expectations of the project are achieved. The Project Engineer Intern will work with Architects, Consultants, Subcontractors, Clients, and Inspectors to resolve issues in a timely manner for all stakeholders.
Typical Duties:
Project Preparation and Set-up
· Review project drawings and specifications to learn all aspects of the project
· Create Submittal Register from project specifications and drawings
· Collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to conduct a review of project SWPPP requirements, permitting needs, and site logistics
· Collaborate with the Project Team to prepare and distribute bid packages and maintain continual communication with potential bidders
· Coordinate and prepare Agenda, including reference documents, for Subcontractor Pre-Bid Meetings
· Coordinate with the Project Team to order and post-construction documents
· Create Visitor Sign-In and Safety Orientation QR codes, and coordinate with the Superintendent & Safety Team to complete the Site Safety Binder
Project Construction
· Coordinate with the Project Team to ensure receipt of executed Subcontract Agreements, required Certificates of Insurance, Payment & Performance Bonds, Certified Payroll, and Safety documentation as needed
· Coordinate with Project Team to ensure the distribution of required project information, such as pre-lien information, project directories, etc.
· Assist the Project Team to process, and distribute Potential Change Items, Subcontract Change Orders and Owner Change Orders as requested
· Review and process Requests for Information (RFIs) against Construction Documents
· Conduct a thorough review of all incoming Subcontractor submittals against the Construction Documents. Work with Subcontractors, if corrections are needed, and process
· Coordinate with Project Team to create and compile various reports and information as needed for project meetings
· Take meeting minutes and distribute as required
· Take regular progress photos and archive electronically
· Work with Project Team to ensure appropriate archiving of project records
· Maintain as-built record drawings and update with applicable RFI/ASI/IBs issued by the Architect
· Walk the site regularly and work with our project Superintendent to familiarize yourself with the coordination and progress of the trades
· Provide on-site support for Subcontractors, Architect, and Inspectors as needed
· Greet and assist all visitors to the site to ensure Blach visitor and safety policies are met

Project Close-Out
· Create close-out register from project specifications & drawings
· Coordinate with Project Team to complete the close-out of projects by collecting all required documents, in preparation of Owner turnover
