They actually seem to care about you and like to promote within. There are lots of opportunities to advance your position if you had the chance to. If you are a server you get to keep all the tips you made, there is no sharing.
Since I am a server I get no breaks unless I pull a double. I can work 9 hours and have no time to stop and eat or sit down. I also don't like there is not automatic gratuity for large parties. You could have a $200 dollar ticket and get tipped $5.
Being able to keep all your self-earned tips without having to share with anybody is the best perk/benefit a server can have.
