I'm the CEO and founder of Black Rifle Coffee Company.

Prior to Black Rifle Coffee, I grew up on the confluence of two great rivers in northern Idaho- the Snake and the Clearwater. As a kid, I would watch my father and my grandfather start their days working and recreating in the mountains of Idaho with a thermos of fresh coffee. After Idaho, I spent 20 years of my career serving in the U.S. Army as an infantryman, a Special Forces soldier, and a CIA contractor. I fell in love with coffee in Seattle in 1997 and I started roasting coffee in 2006 to take with me on my deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

I founded Black Rifle Coffee to supply a premium, roast-to-order coffee to the working man. I wanted a profession that merged my passions- love of country, love for my community and family and my love for great coffee.

Nielsen joins a deep and experienced BRCC executive team of industry leaders who will help the company maximize growth opportunities, including in its retail business, known as Outposts. BRCC Outposts are redefining the brand experience, providing an immersive retail experience to BRCC customers, including showcasing premium products while building a community around the company’s commitment to Veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and those who love America.Heath comes to BRCC from Just Food for Dogs, where he was CEO of the fast growth omnichannel business with over 300 retail locations across the United States. Heath previously led operations for Nestle Coffee Partners’ Starbucks division as Senior Vice President, U.S. and Canada where he oversaw the merger and operations of Starbucks food service into the Nestle organization. Prior to this, Heath led all Starbucks franchise café and foodservice operations in North America as Senior Vice President, U.S. Divisions and Canada Branded Solutions. He also served in senior leadership roles at Sony Corporation and Vail Resorts.

Candace Appleton Kuntz is an Owner at Bison Union Company, Chief Administrative Officer at Black Rifle Coffee Company, and Director of Admission Information Technology at Texas Christian University and is based in Sheridan, Wyoming. She has worked as Senior Business Analyst at DST Systems Inc., Business Systems Analyst II at SPRINT CORP, and Applications Software Engineer at LEXMARK INTERNATIONAL INC KY. Candace attended DeVry University.

Kyleigh Halsey is a Paralegal and Executive Assistant to the COO and CFO at Black Rifle Coffee Company and is based in San Antonio, Texas. She has worked as Inbound Manager at TARGET CORP, Investment Assistant at Rev1 Ventures, and Engineering and Facilities Manager at TARGET CORP. Kyleigh studied at Xavier University between 2019 and 2021 and Kent State University between 2007 and 2010.
