+ Ability to possess an entry level understanding and knowledge of design, master planning, construction materials, techniques and specifications.
+ Entry level proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, SketchUp, Rhino, other related CADD software.
+ A college or university student with no more than two academic years remaining before earning a degree preferred, these students are typically in their junior, senior year of an undergraduate program or are in their first or second year of a graduate program. Contingent upon a positive performance review, a successful intern may receive an offer of full-time employment.
+ Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software.

AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Intern to be based in Columbus, Ohio.
This position is expected to begin in May or June 2026.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
As an intern, the candidate will gain experience in programs such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and PCSWMM while working on a variety of water treatment, wastewater treatment, green infrastructure, and storm/sanitary sewer projects. Having prior experience with any of these programs is helpful, but the candidate will have local peer mentorship on these programs to gain experience.
Fieldwork may be required, but the majority of the time will be spent in the office.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or a related field, and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the Master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions.
