Work Schedule: (32 Hours Weekly) Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm with 1- hour lunch break The hours/location may change/vary based on business need and/or the request(s) of your supervisor or management. Work Location: Columbus, GA This position does not require you to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Job Responsibilities: * Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. * Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. * Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner. * Process billing information and collect payments when required. * Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. * Maintain patient and specimen information logs. * Provide superior customer service to all patients. * Administrative and clerical duties as necessary * Assembling equipment such as: tourniquet, needles, disposable containers for needles, blood collection devices, gauze, cotton, and alcohol on work tray, according to requirements for specified tests or procedures, * Performing other responsibilities as required, Work with and draw from a wide range patient cases in a confident manner, * Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations, * Verifying or recording identity of patient or donor and converses with patient or donor. * Maintaining Refrigerator and Freezer temperatures. * Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment, * Comply with legal Phlebotomy regulations, Handle urine analysis, blood testing, Perform a variety of routine blood drawing procedures. * Travel to additional sites when needed. Job Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent * Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required * Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service * Strong communication skills; both written and verbal * Ability to work independently or in a team environment * Comfortable working under minimal supervision * Reliable transportation required * Flexibility to work overtime as needed * Able to pass a standardized color blindness test If you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!
