Job Description

The Head of Apprenticeship Support (Progression) is an integral role to the successfully running and operations of the Hult Ashridge Apprenticeships, focusing on the development of timely progress and retention of apprentices on program

You are expert in managing the day to day support and progression of Apprentices and their employers both by the Support (Managers and Co-ordinators) and Progress (Tutors and Assessors) staff. In doing so, a high level of successful retention and satisfaction is achieved for the high value apprenticeship programs.

Responsibilities

  • Management of Apprentice Support
  • Working alongside the Head of Apprentice Support (Completion) in management and development of Apprentice Support Team as designated to ensure completion of responsibilities to a high standard, taking appropriate action as required
  • Guiding the team in the day-to-day management of apprentices including responding to queries, monitoring & recording progress and conducting tripartite meetings
  • Focus on the development of appropriate systems to manage, record and evidence support & completion.
  • Monitor records and details of all apprentice related meetings, other communications and issues so that it can be used for auditing purposes.
  • Maximining Student Progression & Retention
  • Ensuring a quality apprentice/student experience by building excellent relationships with apprentices/students, providing helpful and timely responses to queries (email, phone and face to face)
  • To co-lead the monitoring of student engagement, progression and performance through the collection and analysis of data describing participation and success of their apprenticeship.
  • Oversee and undertake as required apprentices' progress and tripartite review meetings and manage any issues which arise.
  • Coaching individual apprentices as required, providing ongoing academic and pastoral support, in order to facilitate their learning, performance and progression and in order to improve retention of apprentices.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of induction programs for all Apprenticeship Programs
  • Internal/External Stakeholder Liaison
  • Supporting the Head of Operations with review meetings and dissemination of information to relevant external and internal stakeholders, leading such meetings as agreed and required
  • Provide feedback from the reviews and business intelligence to the Head of Operations and the Senior Leadership
  • Co-managing points of contact for apprentices and employers (cohort managers, line managers and mentors) that keep them informed of the program and learner progress.
  • Building effective professional relationships with internal stakeholders; faculty, adjuncts and other internal departments
  • Liaise with faculty on learning materials and teaching to be able to offer advice and guidance to apprentices.
  • Operational Support
  • Overseeing Student Feedback Mechanisms including satisfaction surveys. Follow up on actions so that we learn and improve and ensure problems are resolved quickly
  • Proactively identify resource needs, solving independently or working with others to do so, delegating work effectively to these
  • Support appropriate selection and admissions activities (including Assessment Centres and Visits) in order to set and gain a better understanding of student needs/expectations
  • Understanding and knowledge of application of content (academics) in support of student progress/market need - developing supplementary materials as required.
  • Being knowledgeable on, and able to use all program tools, platforms and processes to support the smooth running of programs.
  • Leading and actively promoting best practices amongst colleagues, creating noticeable improvements
  • Managing other ad-hoc internal projects as required from time to time by Line Manager, providing support to immediate and wider Hult Ashridge community

    Work Environment:

    The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, although merchandise stocking and customer carry-outs will require that an associate leave the store briefly. Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time. The large majority of this associate's time will be spent in direct contact with our customers and their dogs. During Dog Training Instructor Program travel to mentor store may be required.

    Job Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    * High school diploma
    * 1-3 years of relevant intelligence experience or equivalent
    * Active TS/SCI clearance
    * Basic knowledge of geography, cartography/map reading skills, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
    * Basic knowledge of research gathering and library functions (e.g., query, ordering, etc.)
    * Minimum proficiency of Level 2 for reading as defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Proficiency Levels or the equivalent that meets or exceeds the ILR Skill Level 2. Testing must have taken place within two years prior to the issuance of a task order

    **PRIMARY PURPOSE:**

    As an Apprentice Bartender, you will be responsible for assisting the bartender and maintain the appearance of the bar. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create **WOW** memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

    **PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    + Assist the bartender with preparation of drinks, mixes and garnishes

    + Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area

    + Maintain sufficient stock of all items and products in designated work areas

    + Ensure proper set up, labeling, stocking and delivery of alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice

    + Clean equipment, tools, supplies, polish glassware and ensure equipment is in working order

    + Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment

    + Promote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs, and respond effectively to guest inquiries

    + Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

    + Perform other job-related duties as requested

    **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**

    + Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

    + Knowledgeable of menu items, including mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, menu items, supplies and equipment

    + Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations

    + Knowledgeable of computers and Point of Sale (POS) systems

    + Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

    + Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

    **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

    + Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
