Job Summary: The Field Supervisor - Service and Warranty supervises and coordinates daily activities of subcontractor repair crews. The Field Supervisor - Service and Warranty is responsible for an average of 3 repair crews. They are responsible for assigning jobs to crews based on skill level and job size. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assign daily roofing warranty and repair jobs to approved repair subcontractor crews. Cultivate relationship with approved crews to ensure high rate of quality crew retention. Maintain constant communication with builders providing updates of any and all changes. Attend warranty and repair calls with subcontractor and respond to homeowner questions per company policy. Enforce safety regulations by performing regular daily safety inspections of assigned crews. Work closely with scheduling department and warehouse to monitor material usage for accuracy (e.g. shingle shortages). Perform daily walk-through of assigned subdivisions inspecting for both quality and safety. Ensure that jobs are complete and documentation is received. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: Bilingual (English/Spanish). Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish. Bachelor's degree is a plus and preferred Physical Requirements: Employees are required to lift a maximum of 80 pounds safely, following proper lifting techniques. For any items exceeding 80 pounds or items that are awkward, bulky, or difficult to handle, employees must use team lifts or approved mechanical lifting devices. Must be able to climb ladder and traverse roof at times. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in various types of weather. The Lead Technician will be responsible for installation, termination and configuration, without direct supervision, of access control devices, such as: card readers, request to exits, electrified door hardware, access control panels, analog and IP cameras, camera servers (NVR), power supplies, cable pathway systems and various cable that includes but is not limited to: twisted pair cable, low voltage cable and coax. They will be directly responsible for onsite tasking of Field Technicians and Installers to meet the project milestones set by the Project Managers and Field Supervisors. Installations are performed in both new construction and retrofit scenarios in a variety of environments. Job Title: Field Technical Specialist (National Remote Role) Department: Strategic Marketing PURPOSE OF THE JOB The Roofing Product Field Technical Specialist acts as the product and field application technical expert for the business providing roof inspections, technical and application consulting to internal and external customers, training, written product application instructions, and assistance with warranty claim resolution. This individual will work closely with multiple stakeholders including, the Customer Response Team (warranty), science & technology, marketing, legal, sales, manufacturing, and building science. This position supports the Warranty Department and Inspection Team at the World Headquarters. This role is one of a team of Field Technical Specialists. This role is not region specific and will provide support to the Quality Assurance and Warranty Teams as needed. Reports to: Roofing Field Technical Manager JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Field Inspection * Provide inspection, evaluation, and documentation of workmanship for projects with Owens Corning workmanship coverage in support of the Platinum & Preferred extended warranties program. * Conduct on-site roof inspections on warranty claims. Provide thorough documentation and recommendations. Inspections include evaluation of all site condition impacting roof performance including ventilation and general construction quality. * Review and evaluate inspection reports provided by customers and third-party providers. * Maintain proper documentation on customer related claims. * Act as field representative/project manager on major claims. * In all activities, be safe and be a leader for roof safety practices. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety. + Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance. + Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders. + Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis. + Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English. + May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools. + Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
